Haryana to construct 100-bedded Mother and Child Care Hospital in Panipat,

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 8
On the occasion of International Woman’s Day, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal announced that government will open a 100 bedded Mother and Child Care Hospital in Panipat, provide free sanitary napkins to adolescent girls and organize free medical camp once in a month in CHC or district hospital exclusively for senior citizen women. In addition, process to recruit 1000 woman constable in Haryana Police will be started soon.
          The Chief Minister was replying to the debate on the Governor’s Address on fourth day of ongoing Budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
          While extending greetings on International Woman’s Day, he said that Prime Minster, Mr Narendra Modi today launched National Nutrition Mission from Jhunjhuna in Rajasthan. He also complimented the Haryana government efforts for remarkable improvement in sex ratio under Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme. Under this programme, we have saved the life of atleast 30,000 girls in Haryana. He urged for people support and cooperation in future also so that this social evil could be completely eradicated from the society.  
          The Chief Minister also announced to launch ‘Shivdham Navinikaran Yojana’ under which four facilities would be provided in cremation grounds in the state. These are facility of water, construction of maximum two sheds, boundary wall and path to cremation ground. Besides, a bridge between Hamida and Meerut road in Karnal would also be constructed after discussion with Uttar Pradesh government.
          He also congratulated Ms Manu Bhakar who had won gold medal at the age of 16 in ISSF Shooting World Cup in Mexico and added that benefits would be extended to her as per sports policy of the government.
          The Chief Minister said that government would initiate the process to fill up 30000 vacant posts of Group D. Advertisement for the same would be issued shortly. Appointment to 17,300 candidates recommended by state recruiting agencies has already been given in a transparent manner during over three years tenure of present state government. Apart from this,         employment to 1.24 lakh persons has already been given in private sector under Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Under Saksham, 16,233 youth have been deployed in the state.
          He said that under welfare of people belonging to Scheduled Castes, Safai Karamchari Ayog has been constituted for the first time in the state, recruitment was being made to clear backlog of posts meant for SCs and 11 hostels were being constructed for SC/BC students.
          The Chief Minister apprised the House that law and order situation in the state has been improved with the efforts made during last three and half years. There were only two women police stations which have now been increased to 30. The percentage of woman in state police has been increased to 9 which was 6 earlier, and efforts were on to further increase it. Under Haryana 100 project was to be launched from November 1, 2018, about 500 new police vehicles would patrol the state round the clock and provide immediate and prompt assistance at the place of incident.
          We have adopted the policy of zero tolerance for corruption at the Centre and State. After taking reign of the administration, we have started property e-registration in tehsils, reduced discretionary powers lying with Chief Minister Office and implemented online services to curb the corruption at all levels in governance. Quoting an example, he said that a plot of about 11.5 acres in Gurugram has been sold out through e-auction at 1496 crore against the reserve price of 686 crore.
          He said that as a result of efforts of the present government, people become aware and paying their electricity bills in the state. We are giving 24 hours power in 1811 villages in five districts of Panchkula, Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram and Sirsa. The government had also reduced the power tariff as well as FSA. The existing infrastructure has been strengthened to ensure better and uninterrupted power supply.
          He said that leader should not carry out politics on farmers for their petty interest and added that present state government had taken many decision for the welfare of farmers including increase in compensation to 12000 per acre and implementation of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY). Describing the role of previous government towards farmers as insensitive, he said that such political leaders have also misled the farmers on PMFBY. Under this scheme, Rs277 crore have been given as compensation to farmers against the premium of Rs194 crore. He also listed the initiatives for farmers welfare including Bhavantar Bharpai Yojna, procurement of moong, sunflower, bajra, mustard on Minimum Support Price, launch of Micro Irrigation Project for water management and others.
          He also listed many welfare initiatives and decisions taken in the interest of employees and added Haryana is the first state that had given the benefit of 7the Central Pay Commission to its employees.
