Complete drainage work at earliest directs: CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has directed the officers concerned to ensure drainage of water from the waterlogged areas at the earliest so that farmers can sow the next crop in time. 

While presiding over a review meeting held through video conferencing here today, the Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioners to complete this work within the stipulated time frame.

The Chief Minister also directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure adequate availability of manure too. Deputy Chief Minister Sh. Dushyant Chautala and Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Minister, Sh. J.P. Dalal were also present in the meeting.

The Chief Minister said that if required, adequate arrangements should be made for more pumps so that water could be drained from the fields in time. After drainage, the water should be used for recharging purposes instead of wasting it in the drain, this will also improve the water level, said the Chief Minister.

Sh. Manohar Lal directed the Deputy Commissioners to hold review meetings of departments, corporations, societies and committees regularly within the stipulated time period.  He further directed them to send daily reports after doing physical verification of the incidents of stubble burning.

Ensure 24 hours power supply for drainage

The Chief Minister said that electric pumps should be used for drainage. He further directed the electricity department to give connections on a priority basis and ensure a 24-hour power supply so that drainage can be done within the set time frame.

Meri Fasal Mera Byora  portal opened till October 17

The Chief Minister was apprised that in view of the problems being faced by the farmers in some areas, 'Meri Fasal Mera Byora' portal has been opened and farmers can register on this portal till October 17, 2021.

Ensure adequate availability of gunny, lifting and labour

The Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioners that farmers should not face any problem during the procurement of paddy. He further directed them to ensure adequate availability of gunny, lifting and labor etc in the mandis.

Ensure Bajra Bhavantar payment is disbursed soon

The Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to give the benefit of Bhavantar Yojna for Bajra crop on priority basis to the smallholding farmers. The amount of Bhavantar compensation should be transferred in the accounts of the farmers at the earliest, directed Sh. Manohar Lal.

Set up a Committee for stubble management

The Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to set up a committee for the management of paddy crop residue. He further directed that these Committees should be formed at the local level so that these Committees can make proper arrangements for stubble management.  Sh. Manohar Lal also directed them to make such a scheme so that farmers can get economic benefits for stubble.

Repairing of roads should be completed as soon as possible

The Chief Minister said that the roads damaged due to rain should be repaired at the earliest.  He also directed the officers to ensure repairing of the link roads around the Singhu and Tikri border at the earliest.

Haryana procures 6.24 lakh MT paddy from 127 mandis

 

Chandigarh, October 14

 In view of procurement of Paddy having started in the State on October 3, 2021 Managing Director, HAFED, A. Sreenivas, visited Barwala, Mullana, Mustafad and Jagadhari mandis to review procurement of paddy at MSP by the HAFED. Hafed is procuring Paddy at Minimum Support Price (MSP) as one of the State Procuring Agencies.

        He informed that till date Hafed has procured 6.24 lakh MT paddy from 127 mandis and purchase centres allotted to Hafed throughout the State, which comes to approx. 32% of total procurement of 19.83 lakh MT paddy in the State benefitting more than 60,000 farmers. This procurement shall continue till November 15.

        He informed that the procurement of paddy is going on smoothly in the State. So, far 50% of the paddy has already been lifted from the mandis and allotted to various rice mills for custom milling. The payments to the farmers are also being released within 24-48 hours of lifting as against the target of 72 hours. 

So far, Hafed has already released payment amounting to Rs. 439 crore directly in the bank account of farmers. Sh. Sreenivas assured that Hafed shall always work in the best interest of farmers of the State.

Meamwhile HAFED chairman Kailash Bhagat  visited the mandis at Pehowa, Ismailabad and Ambala on October 13, 2021 for inspection of procurement operations of paddy being made by HAFED. During the visit, he instructed the HAFED officials for smooth purchase of paddy from the farmers of the state.

During the visit, Mr. Kailash Bhagat also held meetings with the rice millers and addressed their  issues. Sh. Bhagat also instructed the HAFED officials and the mandi secretaries that farmers should not face any difficulty during the paddy procurement season.

Chief Minister directs Yuva Morcha workers to spread awareness about government schemes and achievements

Chandigarh, Oct  1 

 Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that while realizing the spirit of Antyodaya as envisioned Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Haryana Government is making continous efforts to ensure that benefits of the schemes of the State Government reach the eligible beneficiaries.

The Chief Minister called upon the workers of BJP Yuva Morcha to contribute to the government's ambitious scheme, Parivar Pehchan Patra while they were at his residence here today. During this, Political Secretary to Chief Minister,  Sh. Krishan Bedi, OSD to Chief Minister, Sh. Bhupeshwar Dayal and MLA, Sh. Rai Mohan Lal Badauli were present.

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, today started a series of programmes to interact with the workers of Bharatiya Janata Party while interacting with the office bearers of Yuva Morcha. This chain of meetings of the Chief Minister with the workers and office bearers of various fronts of BJP will continue till October 26.

Call to reach out to maximum youth

Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal took detailed feedback from the youth workers regarding government schemes and asked them to work to ensure that the schemes reach maximum number of beneficiaries.  He said that we have to contact maximum youth and connect them with us. He added that the Haryana government has formulated a conprehensive action plan for the youth to move forward. In government jobs, appointments are being given on the basis of merit by eliminating kharchi-parchi system, this has boost the confidence in the youth and now they emphasize on the preparation of the exam. He said that the Parivar Pehchan Patra Scheme will make the dream of Antyodaya come true.

Youth to become a partner in government schemes

The Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that youth should become partners in government schemes. The information about many schemes are not available to the eligible beneficiaries of those schemes and they are not even able to fill the form.  The youth not only have to reach out to such people and fill their forms but also provide them the benefits of the scheme.  He called upon the workers to run a campaign against drug de-addiction to empower the society and motivate people towards social work like blood donation.

Every inch of land will be identified in the state

The Chief Minister said that our government is working on schemes that give long term results SVAMITVA public welfare.  Under this, now a person living in the village can also get his residential land registered. He said that Haryana government is registering properties after drone mapping of the villages thereby making these villages Lal Dora-free.  He said that the work of registration would be done by measuring every inch of land in the State.

Ensure timely disbursal of payments of sugarcane to farmers, directs CM

  Chandigarh, Oct  1

 Taking an important decision for sugarcane farmers in the State, Haryana Chief Minister  Manohar Lal while presiding over high level meeting here today has directed the officers concerned to ensure timely disbursal of payments of sugarcane farmers at the earliest. Besides this, Mr. Manohar Lal also directed the officers concerned to strictly ensure that the crushing season of Naraingarh Sugar Mill starts before November 25, 2021 along with clearance of all the payments of the farmers of this Mill.

        “The crushing season in both government and private sugar mills will begin from November 5, 2021. While the crushing season of Bahadurgarh and Saraswati Sugar Mills should begin before November 20, 2021.  Also, adequate arrangements should be made to ensure smooth crushing at the Karnal and Panipat Sugar Mills as both the Mills would start their crushing operations with enhanced capacity from December this year and January next year respectively,” directed Mr. Manohar Lal.

        While directing the officers concerned to ensure necessary work of maintenance and repair in all the Sugar Mills of Haryana, Mr. Manohar Lal said that management of both the government and private Sugar Mills should be directed to ensure timely start of crushing season as well as the payment of the farmers.

Measures to provide appropriate treatment to COVID patients

  Chandigarh, August 20 

 With the onset of COVID, Haryana Government taking proactive measures has set up 1,127 facilities (DCH,DCCC) to provide appropriate treatment to COVID patients, including 68 Dedicated COVID Hospitals, (DCH), 564 Dedicated COVID Health Centres (DCHC) and 495 Dedicated COVID Care Centres (DCCC).

This was shared by Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, while answering the questions during the Monsoon Session of the Vidhan Sabha today, in the absence of Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij. He said that there is sufficient availability of beds, oxygen, equipment etc in the State. He elaborated that the State presently has 61,096 Isolation Beds, 4,040 Isolation beds for Paediatric patients, 14,362 Oxygen supported beds, 3,286 Oxygen Isolation Beds for paediatric patients, 5,069 ICU Beds and 1535 ICU Paediatric Beds, 708 Neonatal ICU Beds, 827 Paediatric ICU Beds, 2,058 Ventilators and 426 Paediatric Ventilators.

Regarding financial assistance for families the Minister said that an ex-gratia compensation of Rs 2 lakh has been given to Haryana State BPL Card Holders, who died due to COVID and a Special Ex-Gratia Grant of Rs 5 lakh has been given to family members of who dies due to COVID disease. Besides this, Special Compassionate Financial Assistance of Rs 20 lakh was given to families of Covid warriors, who dies while on active COVID duty, especially related to management of COVID or maintenance of essential services.

Apart from this, under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package, insurance Scheme for health workers fighting COVID-19 to the tune of Rs 50 lakh to healthcare providers, including community health workers, deployed for COVID duty.

A total of 26 healthcare personnel (9 doctors, 2 AYUSH doctors, 8 paramedical staff, 2 ASHA workers and 5 other staff) deployed for COVID duty have lost their lives, who were provided with life insurance. He elaborated that despite the efforts of the State Government, 9,635 COVID deaths were reported and District Level Death Audit Committees were constituted to evaluate the cause of death in each and every case and corrective measures were taken accordingly.

The Minister said there is adequate availability of Oxygen in the State. He stated  that in view of the spike in COVID cases during the second wave the State took proactive measures to meet the Oxygen demand and all possible efforts were made to ensure the availability of oxygen for all the Government and Private COVID Hospitals.

He said that the State Government enhanced its oxygen capacity by installing 31 PSA plants, 4,585 oxygen concentrators, 3400 D-Type and 6873 B-Type oxygen cylinders and Liquid Medical Oxygen Tanks. He said that there was no death due to lack of oxygen in the State.

An incentive of Rs 1,000 per month was given to ASHA workers and Rs 500 per month to ASHA Facilitators since April 2020 are being provided. Besides this, a financial assistance of Rs 5,000 to ASHA Workers, National Health Mission and Urban Health Mission workers, who have Parivar Pehchan Patra ID, will be provided.227@gmail.com

Immediate connection to those adopting micro-irrigation: Manohar Lal

Chandigarh, August 20 

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that tubewell connections will be issued immediately to those adopting micro-irrigation.

The Chief Minister shared this information while speaking on the Calling Attention Motion brought during the first day of the Monsoon session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha that commenced here today. 

He said that a provision has been made to provide 85 percent subsidy to those adopting micro-irrigation.

The Chief Minister said that there is no shortage of electricity in the state. The groundwater level is continuously going down. Due to the over-exploitation of water, a situation of water crisis would arise in the coming time. In many areas, the water level is going down by  1  to 1.5 meters every year, which is a matter of serious concern. If this is not stopped, then there is a possibility that a serious crisis situation would arise in the coming time, said Mr. Manohar Lal.

He said that the government has provided an incentive of Rs 7000 per acre to the farmers who do not sow paddy so as to ensure that situation of water crisis does not arise. Under this scheme, farmers have sown alternative crops other than paddy in one lakh acres. This year the target is to increase it to two lakh acres.

The Chief Minister said that after the announcement on December 27, 2018, thousands of people had applied for tubewell connections within four days. After this, they were asked to deposit Rs 30,000, then out of 84,000 people, only 56,000 deposited the said amount. Our priority is to provide tubewell connections to the depositors, said Mr. Manohar Lal.

Haryana CM congratulate players to took part in Tokyo Olympics

  Chandigarh, August 20 

 Leader of the House, Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, while speaking on the first day of the Monsoon session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha that commenced here today, congratulated all the sportspersons who represented the Country in Tokyo Olympics-2020 on behalf of the House.

Speaking in the House, the Chief Minister especially congratulated the players who brought laurels to the country and the state by winning medals.

The Chief Minister said that the House is proud that this time 30 players out of 127 players who participated in the Olympics were from Haryana. The House takes special pride in sharing that out of seven medals, three were bagged by State players.

This House congratulates Neeraj Chopra, Gold Medalist in Javelin Throw, Silver Medalist Wrestler Ravi Dahiya and Bronze Medalist Wrestler Bajrang Punia, said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said that Neeraj Chopra has won the country's first Olympic gold medal in track and field games in the 121-year history of Olympic Games. He said that in the men's hockey team that won bronze medal after 41 years, two players Surender Kumar and Sumit Kumar are from Haryana, while in the women’s Hockey team nine players are from Haryana.

The skill and stamina with which the women team have performed in the Olympics and reached the semi-finals got appreciation across the country. We are proud of our daughters, said Sh. Manohar Lal.

These sportspersons have not only made Haryana and the Country proud but have once again proved their mental toughness and physical strength on the global map.

The House is confident that our players will perform even better in Paris Olympics-2024 and will make Haryana and the Country proud by winning maximum medals. The House also hopes that this league of achievements of our players will continue uninterruptedly, said Mr. Manohar Lal.

He said that it is also a matter of pride that 19 players from Haryana have also been selected in the Tokyo Paralympics starting from August 24, 2021, we also wish them victory.
