Haryana Police makes elaborate arrangements for New Year celebrations

Haryana Police have made elaborate security and traffic arrangements in view of the New Year Celebrations across the State.

          Giving this information here today, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mr Navdeep Singh Virk said that extra force would be deployed for foot patrolling, mobile patrolling, naka duties and at crowded locations like shopping malls, pubs, bars, hotels, resorts, cinema halls on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1 so that people can welcome the New Year peacefully.  

          In view of the celebrations that attract a large number of revelers, Mr. Virk said that all the Commissioners of Police and district Superintendents of Police have already been instructed to ensure added arrangements for crowd and traffic management in their respective places of postings. The police would be deployed in all public places and roads without causing hindrance to the festivities. Special focus would be given to the safety of women and children during the celebrations, he added.

          The ADGP also warned the citizens against driving under the influence of alcohol during the New Year celebrations and added that strict action will be taken against offenders. In addition, special check-points would also be established to contain hooliganism and revelry in the name of New Year celebrations. Police will be on extra vigil across the state to ensure peaceful celebration of 2020.

          The senior police officers will also personally supervise the security and traffic arrangements. He urged the people to cooperate in maintaining peace and law and order in the State.

CM inaugurates two-storey 'Rain Basera' in Karnal

CHANDIGARH, DE 30

The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal inaugurated a two-storey Rain Basera(Night Shelter) for homeless in Prem Nagar, Karnal. The night shelters were inaugurated on Sunday late night. 

          The night shelter has been equipped with modern amenities and is made by the Karnal Municipal Corporation. The night shelter has been set up at a cost of Rs. 1.12 crore.

          After the inauguration, the Chief Minister thanked the officers of Municipal Corporation for the construction of the night shelters and said that the city should ensure that no one has to sleep in open in the chilly weather. 

          He directed the Municipal Corporation officers that as per the requirement such night shelters should also be set up in other parts of the city too. He further directed the officers to ensure cleanliness outside the night shelters.

          Meanwhile, the night shelter has a provision for the accommodation of 85 people. Apart from this the two-storey night shelter also includes other facilities including seven dormitories, council room, caretaker room, kitchen, store, staircase, lobby, toilet facilities and solar power system in bathroom, mineral water RO system, geyser for heating water, water pump, fire fighting equipment, wardrobe, two CCTVs cameras, a LED.

          While other modern facilities like screens and battery inverters have been provided in the night shelter. In the night shelter, three dormitories have been built on the ground floor and four on the first floor.

15 officers of Information Department transferred

Haryana Government has issued the transfer orders of 13 officers of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department.

          Ranbir Singh Sangwan, Deputy Director, Faridabad has been transferred as Joint Director NCR, Gurugram.

CM approves creation of 285 additional posts for upgradation of Civil Hospitals

CHANDIGARH, DEC 17: 

Haryana Chief Minister  Manohar Lal Khattar has accorded approval for the creation of 285 additional posts for the upgradation of Civil Hospital of Ambala Cantt, Rewari and Panipat from 100 bedded to 200 bedded.

        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister who also has the portfolio of Finance Department has given approval in this regard. He said that the financial implication on account of this decision would be Rs 4,33,80,760 per month.

        The Chief Minister has also approved the proposal of opening a new Ayurvedic dispensary in village Unn in district Charkhi Dadri by giving relaxation in policy in public interest. He has also accorded approval for the requisite staff including one Ayurvedic Medical Officer, one Ayurvedic Dispenser, one MPHW (Female) and two part time water carrier and sweeper. An annual expenditure of Rs 27.20 lakh would be incurred on it.

 68 GOVT PRIMARY SCHOOLS TO BE UPGRADED: Haryana Government has decided to upgrade 68 Government Primary School in district Nuh to the level of Government Middle School. While 34 Schools would be upgraded to Government Girls Middle School after relaxation of Department Rule/Norms and shifting of boys to another nearest school, 34 Government Primary schools would be upgraded to Government Middle School.

          While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.

          The Chief Minister has also approved an amount of over Rs 24 crore to be incurred as salary after creation of 476 new posts after the upgradtion of these schools.

          Meanwhile, Mr Manohar Lal has also accorded approval for the creation of seven posts after the upgradation of Government Primary School Neembehra (Mahendergarh) to Middle level and Rs 35,44,056 as salary. The posts which have been approved included one post each of TGT English, TGT Science, TGT Sanskrit, TGT Art, TGT Physical Education (PT Master) and one post each of clerk and peon. Apart from this, he has also accorded approval for the creation of seven new posts after the upgradation of Government Primary School Jairpur, Narnaul to Middle level and Rs 35,44,056 as salary. The posts which have been approved included one posts each of TGT English, TGT Science, TGT Sanskrit, TGT Art, TGT Physical Education (PT Master) and one post each of clerk and peon.

FIXATION OF REMUNERATION: Mr Manohar Lal has granted approval for fixation/revision of the remuneration of the Research Fellows as per the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)/Department of Science and Technology pattern as per previous practice for maintaining the parity of the new post of Research Fellow in the Haryana Kisan Agriculture and Price Commission.

          Mr Manohar Lal has also approved the proposal to create one new Mechanical Division in Public Health Engineering Department at Sonepat.

Ajay, Shashikant and Vanshita move into PQFs

Shashikant Rajput and Krishan Hooda advanced into pre-quarterfinals in the boys under-18 singles of the St. Stephen’s School CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

.Fifth  seed Shashikant defeated Ravinesh Rai of Uttar Pradesh in straight sets by conceding only one game 6-0, 6-1. Top seed Krishan Hooda played high level tennis. He dominant throughout the match with his aggressive ground stroke and won the match from Devanshu Hooda 6-3, 6-1. Bhupnder Dahiya, Aryan Thakur and Gurustat Singh Makkar also moved into pre-quarterfinals.   

In the boys under-16 singles second seed Ajay Singh and Sarthak Gandhi of CLTA trainee moved into next round. Ajay defeated Lakshay Gupta in straight sets. Ajay won the first set 6-3. In the second set Ajay Singh played solid match and won the second set without losing a single game 6-0. Seventh seed Sukhpreet Singh Jhoje overplayed from Dhariya Chadha 6-0, 6-0.

Qualifier Vanshita Malhotra defeated Yashika Venu 6-0, 6-2 in the girls under-18 singles first round. Simran Pritam and Harnoor Kaur Sidhu also advanced into pre-quarterfinals. Second seed Anjali Rathee and Pawandeep Kaur entered Pre-Quarters in the girls under-16 singles. Anjali defeated Sanya Khan of Rajasthan in straight sets 6-4, 6-1. 97 % of Nuh and Palwal covered under IMI

In a bid to ensure immunization to every child covered under Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0, two districts in Haryana, namely Nuh (Mewat) and Palwal has achieved more than 97 percent  coverage.

          Sharing more information in this regard, Mission Director, National Health Mission (NHM), Haryana, Mrs Amneet P Kumar, said that these two districts were included for Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 2.0 in the State and in the first month itself, more than 97 percent children have been vaccinated against the set target. 

          She said that in district Palwal children of age group 0-2 years 6158 children vaccinated against the target of 6190 children i.e. 99.48 percent, 1424 pregnant women vaccinated against the target of 1150 pregnant women i.e. 123 percent. 

          She further informed that a total 579 sessions were organized against 426 planned sessions. In district Nuh (Mewat) children of age group 0-2 years 23498 children vaccinated against the target of 23676 children i.e. 99.25 percent, 5122 pregnant women vaccinated against the target of 5264 pregnant women i.e. 97.3 percent and a total 1214 sessions were organized against 1166  planned sessions.

          She said that IMI 2.0 will be conducted from Dec 2019- March 2020. IMI 2.0 immunization drive will be spread over seven working days, excluding public holidays, Sundays and the routine immunization days planned in that week.

          She further said that series of activities were undertaken at state level, line departments were taken into loop for coordinated activities for social mobilization at all levels i.e. district/block/village, preparations were monitored and reviewed regularly by district and state level. 

          She said that district level efforts had been really remarkable as all district level functionaries left no stone unturned to achieve desired results.

          Mrs Amneet further said that Deputy Commissioners of District Palwal and Nuh took personal interest and extended their full support to achieve targets, several community meetings were organised by SDMs of respective blocks, Civil surgeons, SMOs, Religious leaders, community leaders, Medical Officers in charges and officers of line departments. Collective efforts at all levels and by all concerned departments made it possible to achieve the objective of immunizing huge number of left out, drop out children and pregnant women.

          Meanwhile, Mission Indradhanush (MI) was launched by Government of India on December 25, 2014 as a special drive to vaccinate all unvaccinated and partially vaccinated children and all pregnant women by 2020 under the Universal Immunization programme. Last IMI was carried out in December 2018.

Elaborate arrangements for Dec 26 Solar Eclipse Fair at Kurukshetra

 The Haryana Government has made elaborate arrangements for the pilgrims who will visit  Kurukshetra  during the Solar Eclipse Fair-2019 on December 26, 2019. This year, the fair will witness the participation of  15 lakh devotees from India and abroad.  The State Government will run special buses for the convenience of devotees so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience in reaching  Kurukshetra.

            This was informed during a meeting chaired by  Chief Secretary, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora  to review the  arrangements for the Solar Eclipse Fair - 2019.

            The Chief Secretary directed the officers that the district administration, Kurukshetra, Kurukshetra Development Board and the Tourism department should work in coordination to ensure the successful organization of the fair. 

            She  directed the officers to work towards developing an Android app to further strengthen the public address system at the fair so that any person can easily get information related to the fair through the mobile app. 

            Apart from this, to strengthen the medical system, arrangements of ambulances, stretchers, teams of doctors should be placed  in the fairground, the Chief Secretary added.

            She further said that sufficient number of  of fire fighting vehicles should be arranged at the mela site.  Boats, divers and swimmers should be ensured to be installed at Brahmasovar so that all facilities are available immediately in case of any emergency.

            She  said that the law and order should be strengthened to ensure the security of every devotee visiting the fair. She said that proper arrangements should also be made for lodging facilities for devotees, Bhandara, drinking water, toilets, parking, etc. She said that electricity and the telephone should also be arranged in the fair area.  In addition, full cleanliness arrangements should be made in the fair area.

            She said that for the convenience of devotees, special buses should be run from all the districts and coordination of transportation with neighboring states should be done. Apart from this, directions were also given for ensuring the coordination with the railways so that the devotees do not face any inconvenience in reaching Kurukshetra.

            Mrs. Arora also directed that booths should be set up in the Mela area by Vita and Hafed which will not only promote the products of Haryana but the basic needs of the devotees will also be fulfilled.

            It was informed in the meeting that the fair area has been divided into 20 sectors, for which around 5000 police personnel will be deployed for the safety.  Apart from this, a police control room will also be established in the fairground. Videography will also be done with the help of drones to protect the fair area.

             It was also informed that a dedicated route is being constructed from the fair area to the main road to deal with any untoward and emergency situation and through this route ambulances, fire vehicles and police vehicles can be easily moved.  It was informed that during the fair all group of devotees will be covered under group insurance.

            In addition, 22 parking spots have been identified for parking. It was informed that help desks will be set up to provide help for any missing person or child during the mela. Reception centers will also be set up in the fair area.
