Dilpreet and Seerat Chugh best athletes of Gurukul Global School

Dronacharya House claimed the overall trophy as curtains on the sports week of Gurukul Global School came down today. Dilpreet Kaur of Class VII, who won  five medals, was adjudged the best athlete. She participated in chess, skating, gymnastics and carrom. Seerat Chugh was chosen the best athlete in the junior category.
In senior skating (boys ) , Parashar House bagged the first position and Amay Razdan won the gold medal. In senior girls category Bhrigu House took the lead and Jahnavi won the gold medal. In classes III to V boys category, Parashar House were the winners and Rishit Puri won the gold medal. In the girls category Bhrigu House topped and Ayushi won the gold medal.
In gymnastics, Dronacharya House took the cake and Vikrant Rana won the gold medal in the senior boys category and Vishwamitra topped in the senior girls category an Isha Sharma won the gold medal. Bhrigu House were the toppers in the junior boys category and Aryan Sharma won the gold medal. In the girls category Dronacharya Hhouse topped and Aparna Tiwari won the gold medal.
 Chief Electoral Oficer, Haryana, Mr SK Setia was the chief guest and distributed the prizes.
The Sports week marked various inter and intra house competitions of chess, table tennis, basketball, lawn tennis, skating, taekwondo, carrom, gymnastics and aerobics were observed. Sports Week was celebrated to inculcate the values of sportsmanship and to encourage the students for their participation in sports.
Sports are indispensable for the physical as well as mental growth of children and Gurukul Global School provides ample opportunities to students to excel in their interested spheres.
Mr. S.K. Setia, alongwith Principal, Mrs Aruna Bhardwaj and Managing Director, Mr. Parveen Setia distributed certificates and medals to the winners of various sports.
Mr. S.K. Setia congratulated all the participants and said, “ It is more important to participate in any event than winning the game.” He appreciated the efforts of Gurukul Global School in raising young gems and future stars of the nation.

Holland football team to play in Haryana

A Holland football club, Ado Den Haag, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Haryana Football Association and FICCI to popularise football in Haryana.
          Disclosing  this here  today, HFA president Deepender Singh Hooda, who is also Member Parliament said that Ado Den Haag under-16 team was scheduled to play four matches in Haryana. The first match would be played at Faridabad on March 1, at village Badli in district Jhajjar on March 3, at Rohtak on March 5 and at Gurgaon on March 8.
          The coach, technical advisor and administrator alongwith their under-16 team will be arriving on February 27 to play under-16 football matches for boys in both rural and urban areas of Haryana, he added.
         HFA senior vice-president and MLA from Badli constituency said that the MoU was the result of the efforts made by Deepender Singh Hooda. The football match to be played between the team of Holland and Haryana at Badli on March 3 would be declared open by  Deepender Singh Hooda. It would boost the morale of the football lovers in rural area. It would not only create the spirit of brotherhood, but also encourage sports talent of the rural area.
          Hitherto international level sports events used to be organised only in the urban areas, but Mr Hooda had set a new example in the history of sports by organising international football match in the rural area. It would definitely promote games in the rural area, he added.

National Science Dayat GJUST on Feb 28

Haryana to appoint 168 ground managers (sports)

The Haryana Government has decided to appoint 168 ground managers and an equal number of ground men of various games for promotion of sports in the state.    
     This was disclosed by  State Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sukhbir Kataria
 after dedicating community centre built at a cost of Rs.50 lakh at Jyoti Park, Gurgaon today. 
        He said that out of the total 168 ground managers, 18 ground managers would be appointed in district Bhiwani, 9 in Sirsa, 12 in Hisar, 6 each in Ambala and Kaithal, 8 in Jind, 17 in Rohtak, 13 in Jhajjar, 16 in Sonipat, 5 each in Mahendragarh, Kurukshetra, Palwal and Rewari, 4 each in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Fatehabad, 7 each in Mewat, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Karnal and Mewat and 3 in Panchkula. 
        Similarly, out of the total 168 ground men, 18 ground men would be appointed in district Bhiwani, 9 in Sirsa, 12 in Hisar, 6 each in Ambala, Kaithal, 8 in Jind, 17 in Rohtak, 13 in Jhajjar, 16 in Sonipat, 5 each in Mahendragarh, Kurukshetra, Palwal and Rewari, 4 each in Gurgaon, Faridabad and Fatehabad, 7 each in Mewat, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Karnal and Mewat, 3 in Panchkula, he added.
         The Minister said that these posts would be filled up on contract basis. Applications have already been invited for these posts. Desirous candidates could send their applications to the Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department.
         He said that Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda was encouraging the youth to take part in games. A number of incentives were being provided to the sports persons in the state under new sports policy implemented by the present state government. The sports persons of Haryana had performed excellently well in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. He hoped that the players of Haryana would also perform well in the Olympic Games 2012 to be held in London. Announcement had already been made by the Chief Minister to give a cash prize of Rs.two crore, Rs.one crore and Rs.50 lakh to the sports persons winning gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal in the Olympic Games 2012.

Jat Maha Kumbh on Feb 20 in Uttrakhand

A national, non-political Jat Sammelan will be held at RBS Inter College Nangal Soti (Uttrakhand) on Bijnaur-Haridwar Road from 10 a.m to 4 p.m on February 20. All Jats including Jat Sikh, Jat Muslsism, Jat Bisnoi, Jat Janni, Jat Christians from various states namely J& K, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttrakhand, West Bengal, Tamial Nadu will attend the Sammelan which is named as “Jat Maha Kumbh”.  
     Dr. M. S. Malik, IPS(Rtd.) former Director General of Police, Haryana and President, Jat Sabha Chandigarh and that of Akhil Bhartiya Saheed Samman Sanghrash Samiti will address the Sammelan as chief guest on that day.   A delegation of Jat Sabha consisting of Mr. R.K. A get together for class IX & X at DPS Pinjore

A get-together party is a long cherished wish come true for every child who reaches class 10. Come February and everyone is seen busy making preparations for the occasion. This year the celebrations were scheduled for February 12 at 10:00 a.m. in the sprawling school campus.
 Class IX students extended a ceremonial welcome to class X, who were dressed in their best the boys in their smartly stitched suits and ties looked handsome, while the girls looked lovely in their net sarees. The DJ gave the required rhythm to the party.
 Every X standard student was given a token of love by the teachers. The best dressed boy and best dressed girl titles were won by Hemant Malik and Aishwarya Choudhary , respectively.
A hilarious skit CID presented by the class IX boys stole the show which also comprised of a foot tapping western dance by the girls and a musical rendition by Karan Verma of class 10, who was accompanied by Aman Sangal on the guitar.
Principal Samson Masih while addressing the children wished them the very best for their forthcoming final exams, which he said, have become quite relaxed since the introduction of CCE.
Once the formal part of the party was over, the stage was open for the students to enjoy and dance to their hearts delight on the latest numbers.
After this, everyone enjoyed a sumptuous lunch in the hostel mess.

Haryana Govt to recruit 400 medical officers

The Haryana Government has decided to recruit 400 medical officers soon through departmental committees so as to fill the vacant posts of hospitals all over the state. 
           This was stated by Haryana Health Minister Rao Narender Singh during his visit to Bahadurgarh to review the health services in the newly built 100 bedded hospital and Trauma Centre. Most advanced health equipments have been provided in the hospital. The recruitment of 400 medical officers would ensure that people would get efficient services and they did not face any inconvenience. 
           Enumerating on the health services in the state, he said that all the health institutions were giving free medicines to the patients visiting the OPDs. It was the endeavour of the State Government that each and every citizen of the state remains healthy and several welfare schemes are implemented for providing better health services to the people of the state.
 He said that steps have been taken to balance the sex ratio of the state and to eliminate the heinous practice of female foeticide. An extension of the AIIMS had been set up at Badsa village of Jhajjar to further improve health services in the state.

10 Pragya Institute students qualify NTSE exams

Ten students of eighth class from various schools  of Panchkula  have qualified the firstt stage of National Talent Search Examination held in November last year.
