Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister . Anil Vij, has said that appointment letters would be given to the 207 sportspersons who won medals in international competitions during the tenure of the previous as well as the present state government.
Besides, all the 22 sportspersons of Haryana who won medals in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, would be given cash prizes without any deduction. For this, he would speak to the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal.
Interacting with media persons at Ambala today, Mr Vij said for giving cash prizes to 22 sportspersons without any deduction, he would prepare a file and send to the Chief Minister for approval.

Out-of-turn appointment would be made of 207 sportspersons who won medals in international competitions. The file of these 207 sportspersons has already been approved by the Chief Minister. He expressed the hope that work on issuing the appointment letters would start this month.
Mr Vij said an advertisement would also be released in newspapers, and any person up to the age of 50 years, who fulfilled the conditions, would be able to apply against the advertisement. The department would prepare a chart and upload it on its website to enable sportspersons to know the job being offered against the medals won by them.
FREE COACHING: With a view to provide free coaching to the aspirants of CGL-2018 (Combined Graduate Level test), the Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes or Backward Classes, Haryana has invited online applications from June 12 to June 22 on www.haryanascbc.gov.in.
Giving details an official spokesperson said that the applicant should be permanent resident of Haryana and should belong to Scheduled Caste or Backward Class besides having family income up to Rs 2.5 lakh.
He said to avail this opportunity, the applicant must attach the proof of applied for CGL-2018.
APPROVAL FOR TWO ROADS: The Haryana Government has given approval for improvement of two roads in district Panipat under National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) loan assistance.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal has approved a proposal to this effect.
He said that these included four-laning of Sanoli-Panipat road (stretch not covered under NH, that is, left out portion) and four-laning of Panipat (GT Road NH-44) to Dahar upto NH 709 including construction of ROBs on LC-58 and LC-59 in district Panipat.
The spokesman said that the State Government has given in-principle approval to pose both the projects under NCRPB loan assistance. Apart from this, administrative approval of Rs 50 lakh has also been given for preparation of DPR of these projects, he added.

APPEAL TO CONSERVE WATER: Minister of State for Public Health and Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal appealed the residents of Haryana to conserve water as water level in different areas of the state has been declining rapidly, which is a matter of concern.
He told the people to not to waste the water especially in summers and use it wisely cause jal hai toh kal hai . He insisted on changing the water habits as the water shortage creates problems for the people. He told the people to put taps wherever water is freely flowing.
Similarly, he appealed the people to not to wash their vehicles using pipes instead should do that with damp cloth. In the same way, for irrigation people should use the drip irrigation or fountain irrigation techniques in order to irrigate the land to its maximum without wasting much water.
He said the places in the State where there is shortage of tubewell water or river water, the water tankers would be provided. In addition 342 more tubewells would soon be setup in the various places throughout the State, he said.
