The Haryana Government has given a gift to the villagers by connecting them with feeders that ensure 24-hour power supply to 100 more villages of the state on Haryana Day i.e. November 1, 2021.
Haryana Power Minister Ranjit Singh said that under the 'Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon' scheme, now 5487 villages of the state are being supplied 24 hours electricity, and 24 hours power supply will be ensured to the remaining villages. It is noteworthy that on the lines of the city, the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal had started this Manohar Yojana from Dayalpur village of Kurukshetra district on July 1, 2015, for the supply of electricity for 24 hours in the rural areas as well. Taking a step in this direction, 67 more villages of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) have been included in this scheme on the occasion of Haryana Day. These include 33 villages of Sonipat district- Harsana Khurd, Harsana Malcha, Sersa, Khatkar, Safiabad, Saboli, Nangal, Patala, Raipur, Shahpur Turk, Kishora, Kamashpur, Bhuri, Rajpur, Kami, Debru, Kurad, Sardhana, Bali, Nayabans, Ahir Majra, Gangana, Rana Khedi, Sivanamal, Noorankheda, Kohla, Ishapur Khedi, Lath, Jolly, Bidhal, Thaska, Ahulana, Mohana, 9 villages of Panipat district - Dikadla, Garhi Kewal, Ujha, Jalpad, Kurad, Dhanshauli, Urlana Khard, Dariyapur and Jitgarh, 10 villages of Rohtak district - Garhi Khedi, Taza Majra, Giravad, Singapura Khard, Bahujamalpur, Sampal, Basana, Muradpur Tekna, Nirothi, Khurampur, 14 villages of Jhajjar district - Matanhel, Mohanbari, Jhanswa, Jharli, Khanpur Kalan, Khanpur Khurd, Cheda, Dariyapur, Lagarpur, Amadalpur , Bilouchpura, Shahjahanpur, Kanujia and Bhindawas and 1 village Nand Singh Wala of Kaithal district is included.
Similarly, 33 villages of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) including 6 villages of district Charkhi Dadri - Jagram Bas, Hui, Dalawas, Mandi Kehar, Fatehgarh and Sehuwas, Bhiwani district 16 villages of - Kairu, Asalwas Dubia, Asalwas Mareta, Lhalana, Bhakra, Haripur, Golpura, Dhani Shankar, Chainpura, Sherpura, Moila, Ghadwa, Kalound, Gudha, Bakhtwarpura and Kharkari and 11 villages of Mahendragarh district - Bewal, Jhingwan, Khairana , Mundiya Kheda, Mudain, Karira, Kotia, Buchawas, Aghiyar, Patheda and Kamla villages will be given 24 hours electricity under the scheme. Earlier, 5387 villages of the state were being provided 24x7 power supply, but now 100 more villages have been added under the 'Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon' scheme.
Sh. Ranjit Singh said that at present more than 77 percent villages of the state have been completely illuminated, due to which 10 districts of the state, which include Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Gurugram, Faridabad, Sirsa, Rewari and Fatehabad being provided power 24 hours a day.
Under this scheme issuance of new connections, replacement of faulty meters, rectification of electricity bills, regularization of unauthorized electricity load, effective distribution of electricity bills, replacing old and damaged conductors with AB cable and replacement of cables and shifting of electricity meters of consumers outside the premises is included. Under this scheme, villagers are urged to pay the outstanding electricity bills, and asked to stop electricity theft, as a result of which uninterrupted power supply is started 24 hours by identifying the rural feeders whose line loss is less.
The Power Minister said that the work of 'Mhara Gaon-Jagmag Gaon' scheme is going on at a fast pace so that the entire state can be illuminated by including the remaining villages in this scheme soon. This scheme has brought a positive change in the rural consumers of the state in the direction of timely payment of electricity bills, preventing theft of electricity and cooperating with the employees of the Electricity Corporation. All this has been possible only with the hard work, honesty and cooperation of the villagers, technical and non-technical employees of the Power Corporation. The Corporation is committed to provide uninterrupted and continuous power supply to all its consumers.
