Aryan Arora and Harnoor Kaur Sidhu lift singles titles

  

CHANDIGARH, FEB 5

Fourth seed  Aryan Arora of Punjab won the boys under-18 singles title in the LT Foods Limited CLTA-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for Boy’s & Girl’s under-18 at the Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

. Aryan upset top seed Michael Jason David of Karnataka in straight sets 6-3, 6-0. Aryan played in top form and took the first set 6-3. In the second set Aryan maintained his momentum and used his experience to beat top seed Michael Jason David 6-0 without conceding a single game.   

In the girls under-18 singles finals top seed Harnoor Kaur Sidhu beat second seed 

Harsh Fogaat / Aditya Rathi and Suhani Sabharwal  / Sia Mahajan won boys and girls doubles titles respectively.   

CLTA vice president Dr. Jasjit Singh distributed the prizes to the winners and runners-up of both events.

Boys under-18 doubles: Harsh Fogaat (DL) / Aditya Rathi (DL) [2] bt. Michael Jason David (KR) [1] / Aryan Arora (PB) 4-6, 6-1, 10-1.          

Girls under-18 doubles: Suhani Sabharwal (MH) / Sia Mahajan (CH) bt.  Tamanna Panwar (HR) / Anusha Verma (HR) 6-1, 6-0.
