A medical camp for veterans of Indian Army will be
organized at Bapora in district Bhiwani on March 27 and 28,2012.
While
stating this today, a spokes person of Indian Army said that the camp
would bne organized under the aegis of Hisar Military Station and about
3000 veterans of the region would be benefitted by this welfare
measure. The theme of the medical camp is “Swasth Sareer Sukhmay
Jewan”. Screening facilities of anaemia, diabetes, surgical ailments,
gynaecological problems, paediatrics, eye and skin disorders will be
available at the camp in addition to the state of art Operation Theatre
on wheels.
The
camp will also have facilities for health checkup of families of local
serving soldiers as well as veterans and their dependants. A health
exhibition showcasing awareness on health issues will form part of the
event. Civil populace will also benefit from this initiative as the
civil administration will be incorporating their medical resources and
staff for the camp.
On the sidelines of the camp, multifarious welfare initiatives to
include Pension Adalats, information dissemination by Army Welfare
Housing Organisation (AWHO) and Resettlement Directorate as also
felicitation of Veer Naris of the region would also be undertaken. A
grand equipment display showcasing the might of the Indian Army will also be organised to motivate local youth to join the Army.
