Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, Chandigarh won the overall (men) Panjab University Inter-College Judo Championship by logging 25 points here today. GNC, Narangwal Ludhiana finished runners-up with 15 points. PU Campus got third position with 15 points.
Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26 emerged overall champions with a medal tally of four gold, one silver and bronze medals. Their gold medallists were Saksham Singh (66 kg), Sonu (73 kg), Aryana (81 kg) and Farhat Gulzar (100 kg). Sumit earned silver for SGGS-26 as he finished second in 60 kg final. SGGS College got bronze through Dayanand (+100 kg) and Aakash )90 kg).
Ramgarhia College of Ludhiana women emerged overall champions by winning gold medals through Savitri (57 kg), Priya (70 kg) and Bobleen Kaur (78 kg). KCW Ludhiana secured two gold medals. Amandeep of KCW Ludhiana defeated Raj Bala (GNC Narangwal) in 48 kg final. In +78 kg final Harpreet Kaur (KCW-Ludhiana beat Aanchal (PGCG-11, Chd).
