Increase in salary Co-op Apex Bank employees

 Haryana Cooperation and Housing Minister, Satpal Sangwan today said that a lump sum increase of Rs one thousand per month  will be made in the  salaries of the employees of Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank.

          This was informed by the Minister here today after holding a meeting with the Haryana State Cooperative Apex Bank Employees Union. Mr Sangwan said that the employees protesting for the last two weeks have now expressed satisfaction after the meeting.

          He said from the month of June, the employees will be given hiked salaries. Moreover, in case of better recovery, a further increase of Rs 200 to Rs 500 will be made in their salaries, he added.

          He said that a departmental committee will be constituted under the chairmanship of Registrar, Cooperative Societies for taking up the promotion cases of the employees. Next action will be taken after the committee submits its report, he added.

          The Principal Secretary, Cooperation Department, Mrs Shakuntala Jhakhu, Registrar Cooperative Societies, Mr C. R. Rana, Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies, Ms Poona Nara and Managing Director HARCO Bank were also present in the meeting.

Panasonic to invest 520 cr in Jhajjar

 Japan’s leading electronic major, Panasonic has a plan to invest Rs. 520 crore more at Model Economic Township at Jhajjar within next five years. The giant Company had already made a huge investment of Rs. 425 crore in Jhajjar.

            This was disclosed in a meeting between Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Mr. Daizo Ito, President and Mr. Hisao Yamone, Managing Director, Panasonic India Private Limited, Jhajjar held here today.

            The Company would make this investment in two phases and out of this total investment, Rs. 220 crore would be invested through major suppliers of Panasonic.

            Mr. Hooda said that though Haryana is small State, it has become a favourite destination for National and International Companies to set up their ventures. Mr. Hooda said that the State Government has been working as a facilitator and assured that Government would continue its support to Panasonic in its expansion plans in the State.

            It was apprised in the meeting that in the first phase of investment,  home appliances like refrigerators, water purifiers and Beauty and Healthcare would be manufactured by the Company whereas, in the second phase it would produce appliances like commercial refrigerators, micro wave ovens, small appliances and commercial air conditioners. At present the Company is involved in the manufacturing of Air Conditioners, Washing Machines and Welding System.

            Mr. Hooda was apprised that the expansion of Company base would not only generate more employment opportunities for the youth but it would also boost the economy of state. He was informed that 10 major suppliers of Panasonic were keen to set up their units there.

            It was also disclosed that during the expansion, the Company would also set up a Research and Development Center at Jhajjar for new technology and skill development. Moreover, the Company intends to send 60 engineers to Haryana to contribute in different fields like medical service, distance education service and water treatment. A Training Centre of the Company was operational at Jhajjar where the youths were imparting free training in skill development. The Company would contribute Rs. one crore per year for five years in this Centre.

HAU to organize vocational training in June

 To impart technical know-how to the farmers, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar will organize a series of programmes on vocational training in the disciplines of agriculture, home science and dairy farming in different districts of the state in June.

          While informing this today, Director Extension Education of the University, Dr. J. S. Dhankar said that as many as five trainings on fruit and vegetable preservation would be held at Ambala, Bawal, Panipat, Pali (Sadalpur) and Yamunanagar from June 4 to 6, June 5 to 7, June 25 to 27, June 21 to 22 and June 17 to 21, respectively.  Trainings on vermi compost would be organised at Sirsa and Jhajjar from June 17 to 22 and June 14 to 16, respectively, whereas trainings on dairy farming would be held at Kaithal and Mohindergarh from June 7 to 17 and June 4 to 6 respectively.

          He said that similarly, trainings on nursery raising, detergent making, drafting, cutting and stitching of garments and value addition of fruits and vegetables had been scheduled from June 5 to 7 at Bawal, June 10 to 14 at Jind, June 17 to 22 at Kalwehri (Karnal) and June 3 to 5 at Sonipat respectively.

          He said trainings would also be held for rural people on garment construction from June 17 to 18 at Faridabad, June 12 to 14 at Fatehabad, June 1 to 5 at Kurukshetra and June 14 to 25 at Mandkola.

CM enquires about well being of VC Shukla

 Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today visited Gurgaon hospital to enquire about well being of former Union Minister Mr V.C.Shukla who was seriously injured in Chattisgarh Maoist attack, which left 27 dead including two senior Congress leaders and many injured.

He met Mr Shukla’s wife and other close relatives who were present at the hospital and wished his speedy recovery. Mr Hooda assured the family of all help from the Haryana government and gave directions in this regard to the district administration. He went to the ICU where Mr Shukla is admitted and enquired from the doctors about condition of his health. Mr Hooda was told by the doctors that condition of Mr Shukla is serious but stable.

While inquiring about the wellbeing of Mr Shukla from his family members in a hospital of Gurgaon, Mr Hooda has strongly condemned the tragic incident of ambush on a convoy of Congress leaders in forest area of Chhattisgarh in which  a senior Congress leader was killed and many others including former Union Minister Mr V.C.Shukla were injured.

        Later, Mr Hooda also went to enquire about the health of former Haryana Chief Minister Mr Om Prakash Chautala who is also under treatment in the same hospital and wished his speedy recovery.

CM to dedicate ROB in Kurukshetra

The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, will dedicate to the people a Railway Over Bridge (ROB) constructed at a cost of Rs 45 crore over Sunderpur Railway Crossing in Kurukshetra tomorrow.

        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister  would also address a massive public meeting at new Anaj Mandi on May 2+6.

        He said that out of total amount of Rs 45 crore spent on the construction of the ROB, Rs 37 crore have been spent by Haryana Public Works (Building and Roads) Department and the remaining Rs eight crore by the Railways.
