Rakhi making competetion was held in the junior wing of DAV Senior Public School, Surajpur, here today. Students made attractive rakhis adorned with colourful threads, ribbons, beads etc.
Principal R.P.Anand said that such competetions act as a platform to enhance the creativity of students.
Anchal, Ritika, Yudhvir, Sanjana and Mehak of Vivek House bagged first position and Ananya, Ujjwal, Ritish, Mauli and Sakshi of Ahimsa House secured second position.Ritika and Naman of Satya House stood third and Charu of Dharma House bagged fourth position.
Co-ordinator Sukhjeevan Sharma spoke about how such festivals teach us of our rich culture.
INTER HOUSE - POETRY AND BULLETIN BOARD COMPETITION
The spirit of patriotism was in full swing among the participants which was apparently evident in their breathtaking performance during Inter House Poetry Recitation And Bulletin Board Competition – both holding the same title – ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’.
The spectrum of colours spread on the board truly reflected not only the talented artists but also true Indians to the core, who had devoted their hearts and souls to the adulation of mother nation..
Similarly, the students love for the nation came to the fore front in their heart rendering poetry.
Principal R.P. Anand appreciated the efforts of both students and teachers and motivated them to serve the nation with their deeds also in the future.
Mrs. Laxmi Khurana, Sadan Co-ordinator too appreciated the stupendous efforts made by the teachers and the participants.
Results: Poetry Recitation:
Group A (Classes – VI, VII & VIII): 1 Prachi Rai (Vivek House), 2 Tanya Sharma (Satya House), 3 Bhanuj Sharma (Ahimsa House). Group B (Classes – IX & X): 1 Ayushi Sethi ( Dharma House), Tanmay Srivastava (Vivek House), 3 Jaya Aggarwal (Ahimsa House).
Group C (Classes – XI & XII): 1 Sourav Kumar (Ahimsa House), 2 Mallika Singh (Satya House), 3 Harpreet Kaur (Vivek House).
Bulletin Board: 1 Ahimsa House, 2 Dharma House, 3 Satya House.
