EX-GRACIA ENHANCED: The Haryana Government has enhanced the ex gratia grant being given to family members of police personnel who die in the line of duty from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. Besides, the accidental insurance cover of Rs 25 lakh being given to police personnel through HDFC Bank has also been increased to Rs 30 lakh.
The Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. K.P. Singh, who was speaking at the state-level Police ‘Smriti Parade’ at Panchkula, near here, today, said that Haryana Police was fully prepared to tackle criminal elements.
He also paid glowing tributes to martyr constable Raj Singh of Haryana Police and other martyrs of Police and Paramilitary Forces.
ADDITIONAL CHARGE FOR OP SINGH: The Haryana Government has ordered that O.P. Singh, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Hisar Range, Hisar would also be IGP, Modernisation with his additional charge, against vacancy.
MEDICAL CLAIMS FOR EMERGENCY SUFFERERS: The Haryana Government has decided that all those persons and their spouses, who have been identified as sufferers during the emergency imposed by the Congress government, would get the facility of reimbursement of their medical claims on the pattern of employees of the State Government.
While stating this today, Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij said that a proposal to this effect has been approved by the Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal.
Mr Vij said that all such sufferers and their spouses would be identified in the state and Deputy Commissioner concerned would issue them photo identity cards as this incentive would only be admissible to those having photo identity cards. The Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district would designate such an agency which would receive the medical claims from eligible beneficiaries and get these reimbursed.
He said that for indoor treatment, full reimbursement would be allowed on the expenditure incurred for the treatment taken from the government hospital. He said that in case of approved private hospitals and for treatment in private wards, the reimbursement would be allowed as per government rules. Besides, in case of un-approved private hospitals, the medical bill would be reimbursed on issuance of an emergency certificate by the Civil Surgeon of the concerned district.
The Minister said that in case of outdoor treatment, the reimbursement would be allowed from government and approved hospital subject to the condition that the person would obtain a chronic disease certificate from the concerned Civil Surgeon and bill would be worked out as per the instructions applicable to the hospitals as in case of indoor treatment.
ILLUMINATING GOVT BUILDINGS: the Haryana Government has decided to illuminate all government office and heritage buildings of the State from ‘sunset to sunrise’ for two weeks from October 24 to November 7, 2016 in view of Swarna Jayanti Celebrations of the State.While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that instructions have also been issued to take adequate safety measures to ensure that no untoward incident occurs due to illuminations.
He said that a written communication to this effect has been sent to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Commissioners, Ambala, Hisar, Gurgaon and Rohtak Divisions, the Registrar, Punjab and Haryana High Court, Deputy Commissioners, Managing Directors and Chief Administrators of all Boards and Corporations and Registrars of all the Universities in the State to ensure strict compliance of these instructions.
