Haryana to construct trauma centres on main highways

CHANDIGARH, OCT 17
Haryana Chief Minister  Manohar Lal, has said that trauma centres would be established at every 50-60 kilometres on main highways in the state to provide quick medical aid to accident victims. Besides, half the revenue generated from challaning of vehicles would be utilised for development works of Police Department.
The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering after inaugurating Police Assistance Booths in Karnal today.
He said that 20 Police Assistance Booths have been established from Delhi-Kundli border to Ambala, which have been inaugurated from Karnal and made functional today. Every Police Assistance Booth would have a motorcycle, an ambulance and would be manned by five police personnel.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government was providing healthcare facilities to the people, along with traffic management facilities. He also underlined the importance of traffic rules and urged the people to assume collective responsibility and follow these rules for ensuring social and individual safety. He also appreciated the Haryana Police and said that State Police was doing commendable work in management of traffic.
The Chief Minister also flagged off motorcycles of Police Assistance Booths. Earlier, he also sought information about e-challan machines.
Director General of Police, Dr. K.P. Singh, welcomed the Chief Minister and apprised him about various activities of the department.
