Haryana sanctions 1485 posts of drivers of heavy vehicles

CHANDIGARH, FEB 7
Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu  today said that the State Government has sanctioned 1485 posts of drivers of heavy vehicles in Transport Department and these contractual employees would be paid Rs 15,000 per month. Also, 413 drivers who are already working under the out sourcing policy Part II would get the enhanced wages of Rs 15,000 per month instead of existing DC rate of Rs 13,500 per month. The decision would benefit the drivers to the tune of an additional amount of Rs 2.30 crore per annum, he added.
          The Finance Minister said that the remuneration of the extension lecturers posted in Government colleges in the State has also been increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 25,000 per month.
          He said that the State Government has taken a number of steps for the welfare of its employees. Haryana is the first State to implement the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission for its employees. The pensioners would also get the benefit of revised pension under the recommendations of the Central Pay Commission. It has also been decided to give the benefit of the 7th Central Pay Commission to even contractual employees, he added.
ONE-TIME REBATE: The Haryana Government has decided to grant one-time rebate of 25 per cent to those property owners who would pay all their dues of property tax and arrears for the years 2010-11 to 2016-17, by February 28, 2017. An additional rebate of one per cent will also be given if the payment   is made through cashless system.
        While stating this here today, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain said that in case of late payment, interest at the rate of 1.5 per cent per month or part thereof would be charged. The one time waiver of interest on the arrears of property tax pending since year 2010-11 to 2016-17 would be allowed to all tax payers, if their arrears are paid up to February 28, 2017.
ADDITIONAL CHARGE: Garima Mittal, Chief Executive, Haryana Khadi and Village Industries Board and Additional Secretary, Forests and Wildlife Department has been given additional charge of Director and Additional Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, during the election duty of 2 DSPs RE-DESIGNATED: The Haryana government has re-designated two Deputy Superintendents of Police as Additional Superintendent of Police as they have completed 10 years or more in service, with immediate effect.
          They are Raj Kumar and Vishnu Dayal. Their posting orders will be issued later on.
 GOVT WARNS JCB MACNINE OPERATORS: In view of the ongoing Jat reservation agitation, the Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) Tohana, has directed the Executive Officer, Municipal Council to hold a meeting with all JCB machine operators and warn them that in case their JCBs are used to uproot trees or dig roads, they would invite stern action against themselves and their vehicles would be impounded.
          The SDM, who was presiding over a meeting with officers in Tohana today, also directed them to ensure proper coordination and remain alert to deal with any eventuality.  While reviewing the activities of Transport Department, he directed the officers not to allow night halt of buses in villages till the agitation continues.
            He also directed the officers of Forest Department to keep their staff alert and in case of felling of trees, make necessary arrangements for electric saws and tractor trolleys. He also instructed the officers of health department to make necessary arrangement of healthcare facilities.
