CM to inaugurate five-storeyed rest house in Gurugram

CHANDIGARH, DEC 25
The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, will inaugurate five-storeyed rest house of the Public Works Department having  capacity of 100 rooms and built at the cost of Rs 41 crore in Gurugramtomorrow (December 26).
           Giving this information here today, the Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh, said developed over an area of 4.7 acres, its basement has parking capacity for 200 cars. The rest house has eight VIP suites, one Governor’s suite, one Chief Minister’s suite, and rooms for 62 officers. Besides, it has a living room, aconference room, dining and fine dining hall.
          It also has arrangement for stay of drivers and other staff. So far the rest house in Rohtak district was the biggest with 24 rooms. Now the rest house at Gurugram will be the biggest with 100 rooms. The foundation stone of the rest house had been laid by the Chief Minister on October 2, 2015.  It had been constructed in a record time.
          The minister said in 2018, foundation stone of new projects to the tune of about Rs 10,000 crore would be laid in Gurugram. Besides, many projects would be completed in Gurugram next year which would accelerate the development of the district.
    The construction work on KMP Expressway would also be completed by March, 2018. It would provide employment opportunities to many in the district as a large number of industries would be established, he added.
