Applications invited for state level awards to women

CHANDIGARH, MAY 4
The Haryana Government has invited applications for State Level Award for Women to give recognition to women who have done outstanding work in different fields. The last date for receiving applications is June 15, 2018.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Women and Child Development Department said that cash prize of Rs 1.50 lakh and a citation would be given under Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Award, and Rs one lakh each and citations would be given under Kalpana Chawla Shaurya Award and Bahin Shano Devi Panchayti Raj Award. Similarly, Rs 51,000 and a citation would be given under Life Time Achievers Award.
        He said that cash prizes of Rs 21,000 each and citations would be given to two ANMs, Nurses and Female MPW, and Sports Women. Awards each of Rs 21,000 and citations would be given to two Sakshar Mahila Samooh Members, two awards to government employees, two awards to Social Workers, two awards to Women Entrepreneurs and one award to Prohibition cum Protection Officer.
        The spokesman said that nomination alongwith detail of contribution made and complete bio data may be sent to the office of concerned Deputy Commissioner or District Programme Officer, who would forward the nomination with recommendation of District Level Recommending Committee to the Department. The eligibility and conditions can be downloaded from the department website www.wcdhry.gov.in, he added. 
SCHEDULE FOR TRAINING: Haryana Higher Education Department has issued schedule for the training of the Nodal Officers of online admission and one computer instructor, from May 16 to 19, 2018. All the nodal officers of online admission are directed to attend the mandatory training for centralised online admissions and fee deposits as per the schedule.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that the training of the Nodal Officers of all government colleges of Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Faridabad, Mewat and Palwal districts would be held at Government College, Sector 14, Gurugram on May 16 at 10 a.m. Similarly, the training of the Nodal Officers of all government aided and self-financing degree colleges of Gurugram, Mahendragarh, Faridabad, Mewat and Palwal districts would be held at Government College, Sector 14, Gurugram on May 16 at 2 p.m.
        He said that the training of the Nodal Officers of all government colleges of Rohtak, Jhajjar, Jind, Sonepat and Rewari districts would be held at 10 a.m. and of all government aided and self-financing degree colleges of these districts would be held at 2 p.m. at NRS Government College, Rohtak on May 17.
        The training of the Nodal Officers of all government colleges of Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri districts would be held at 10 a.m. and of all government aided and self-financing degree colleges of these districts would be held at 2 p.m. at Government College, Hisar on May 18. Similarly, the training of the Nodal Officers of all government colleges of Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panipat, Kaithal, Panchkula, Karnal and Kurukshetra districts would be held at 10 a.m.and of all government aided and self-financing degree colleges of these districts would be held at 2 p.m. at S.D. College, Ambala Cantt. on May 19, he added.
APPLICATIONS INVITED FROM SC STUDENTS: The Department of Technical Education, Haryana has invited applications from the Scheduled Castes students of the State except such students residing in campus hostel pursuing All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Haryana State Board of Technical Education (HSBTE) approved courses for reimbursement of state transport facilities or train pass under the Scheduled Castes sub-plan scheme of the State government for the session 2017-18.
             While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that AICTE and HSBTE approved courses included Polytechnic Diploma, D-Pharmacy, B-Pharmacy, M-Pharmacy, Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology , Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, B.Arch, Bachelor of Engineering (BE), B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. in engineering subjects, MBA and  MCA through regular mode only in government, private and aided technical institutions approved by Technical Education Department, Haryana.
             He said that Aadhaar or Unique Identification (UID) number of the candidate is required for claiming scholarship. The application form could be downloaded from the department website and could also be obtained free of cost from the concerned institutes. The complete filled up application form with all the required documents should be submitted with the concerned institutions by May 31, 2018. Application received after the due date would not be entertained, he added.
             The spokesman said that all the heads of the technical institutions have been asked to submit the consolidated list along with the complete application form and supported documents on or before June 14, 2018 to their processing centres designated by the department as per instructions already conveyed. Claims received thereafter by disbursing centres would not be entertained, he said.  Similarly,  all the heads of processing centres have been asked to submit the consolidated list along with the complete application form and supported documents on or before June 22, 2018 to the disbursing centre that is government polytechnic, Hisar.
VOGSHALAYAS NOT FOR RELIGIOUS PURPOSE: Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister, Mr. Anil Vij said that vyayam and yogshalas  can only be used  for yoga and exercise  by people belonging to  any community and religion. The yogshalas would not be allowed to be used for any religious, social or political purpose.
        Mr. Vij said that a person belonging to any caste, religion or political party can visit these vyayam and yogshalas for yoga and exercise.  No one would be allowed to do any other activity there.  He said that Yoga is above all and universally respected.
        The Minister said that the State Government has so far established about 400 yogshalas whereas yogshalas are being established in all villages, towns and cities of the state. The process of recruitment of yoga teachers has also been started for these yogshalas.
