Results: SAI – Academy beat Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre 6 – 0; Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy beat Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) 2 – 1

Sports Authority of India Academy and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy are through to the final of the inaugural Hockey India Junior Women Academy National Championship 2021 after winning their respective semi-final matches earlier today.
In the first semi-final, SAI – Academy overpowered Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre 6 – 0 to advance to the Final. Goals from Sanjna Horo (5’, 34’), Poonam Mundu (19’, 47’), Hina Bano (20’) and Bhavani Madugula (58’) ensured comfortable passage for SAI – Academy through to the final.
In the second semi-final match, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy edged out a narrow 2 – 1 victory over Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar). Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) and Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy entered into the contest as the highest and second highest scoring teams of the competition respectively, however, goals were at a premium in this closely fought encounter.
Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy scored two quick-fire goals in the second quarter through Nirupama Thounoujam Devi (27’) and Hritika Singh (28’). Taranpreet Kaur (45’) pulled one goal back for Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) to make the last quarter an intense affair, but Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy held on to their advantage.
SAI – Academy will now take on Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy in the final ,while Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High Performance Centre will face Khalsa Hockey Academy (Amritsar) to determine the third and fourth position in the competition.
