Ministers' Trophy to Haryana Roadways for safe transportation (Lowest Accident Record) 2005-2006 and 2006-2007 to Haryana State Transport Controller, Mrs Saroj Siwach on behalf of the Haryana Roadways in New Delhi on Wednesday.
CHANDIGARH, October 15
The Haryana Roadways has annexed the prestigious Transport Minister's Trophy and a cash award of Rs 3 lakh for having the lowest accident record in mofussil services operations for 2005-2006 and 2006-07.
Giving details of the award an official spokesman said that the trophy and cash award was presented by Union Secretary, Surface Transport, Mr Brahm Dutt to Haryana State Transport Controller, Mrs Saroj Siwach in New Delhi today during the 53rd Annual Conference of State Road Transport Undertakings.
He said that Haryana Roadways had been adhering to strict road safety measures and the rate of accidents involving the Haryana Roadways buses had decreased from 0.21 per one lakh km in 1994-95 to 0.08 in 2005-06 and 2006-07, respectively.
