Haryana Govt to recruit 1000 women

Haryana Government will recruit 1000 women in its police force and to provide more job opportunities to the women of the state 10 per cent reservation has been made in the Police Department for them.
It was revealed by Director General of Police, Mr Ranjiv Dalal during the concluding function of the 46th annual Athletic Competition at Government Women Post Graduate College at Panchkula. He awarded the winners of 100 meter race. Manju Yadav of second year bagged first position, Poonam of first year bagged second and Seema Yadav of second year third position in the event.
Mr Dalal said that in the last four years, the number of women employees in the police force had increased substantially. In the last one year as many as 900 women had been recruited in the force whereas only 100 were used to get employed in the police force four years ago. A batch of 600 women police would soon start rendering it services in the state after completing its training.
He said that to give impetus to the sports in the state, Sports Akademi had been set up and priority was given to appoint women international players of the state in the Police department. Mamta Kharab, the outstanding player had been appointed a DSP in the force. Many players of excellence had been appointed as Inspectors and Sub Inspectors.
