Sanjot Malhi selected for Yale School Management

Yale School of Management USA announced the selection of Sanjot Malhi for its MBA programme under the prestigious Silver Scholars Program. Under this program, Yale University selects a handful of exceptional undergraduate students without work experience world-wide who will be future leaders in business and government, for its MBA programme.
This is the first time in the history of the Silver Scholar Scholars Program that an Indian has been chosen. Yale University has also named Sanjot the recipient of the Dean's Scholarship based on his outstanding achievements and potential for success. He will be joining the MBA course at the Yale School of Management, USA in August 2009 and will be the youngest student to join at Yale SOM.
Sanjot is an exceptional student and an all-rounder with achievements across the spectrum. He had secured 760 marks out of 800 in the GMAT examination, one of the highest marks in the world (99% percentile). Sanjot has also been accepted by University of Cambridge in the UK for pursuing post-graduate study.
Sanjot has just turned 21 and has recently completed his Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Honours) degree from BITS, Pilani in December 2008. Sanjot completed his degree in three and a half years, as opposed to normal course of four years, due to additional credits taken by him, something only three students have managed to do at BITS.
Sanjot has undertaken research as a summer intern at IMD business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was the youngest intern ever and the only one without any full time work experience. He worked on a tripartite initiative of the Government of India, the Confederation of India Industry and IMD, Switzerland for Inclusive growth in India. While at IMD he wrote a paper on "Challenges of Equity and Inclusive Growth in India" (http://www.eviangroup.org/resources/inclusivegrowth-b3.php), which has received wide acclaim from the highest echelons of Academia and the Indian Government.
Sanjot has undergone his education in two continents: Europe and Asia, and knows several foreign languages including Dutch, French and Spanish besides English, Hindi and Punjabi. Sanjot is a national football player having played the Santosh Trophy for the Chandigarh state team as one of the youngest participants ever. He has also remained captain of the Hague Cricket Club in the Netherlands.
In the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2008 for the Indian Institutes of Management, Sanjot Malhi had scored 99.83% Percentile. Besides the CAT, he also cleared the examinations for the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) as well as the JMET for MBA at IITs with flying colours.
Sanjot is son of Mr. Gurjot Singh Malhi, IPS, Director General of Police, Home Guards and Civil Defence, Haryana.
