OP Bureau receives 3190 applications

Overseas Placement Bureau set up by the Haryana Government to facilitate youth in getting job abroad has received 3190 vacancies of different types from Canada and 70 vacancies of Physiotherapists from USA through its consultants. The process for the selection of the candidate is going on.
While disclosing this here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that the vacancies received from Canada were the projected vacancies for the next three years. The recruitment process in Canada was slow due to global recession. However, selection of 16 candidates for Canada was in progress and they were likely get visa in near future.
The Bureau had so far placed 82 youth of the State in middle east countries, he added.
The Bureau had also signed an MoU with Modi Health Care Placement India Pvt.Ltd., New Delhi for placing Nurses in USA and had set up training centers at Panchkula, Karnal, Rohtak and Faridabad, said the spokesman, adding that after providing training in IELTS and NCLEX to the candidates, the Bureau help them in placing in the reputed hospitals in USA. There were 18 candidates in Panchkula, eight in Rohtak, nineteen in Karnal and nine in Faridabad. Regular training classes were going on these centres. So far, 10 candidates had appeared for NCLEX exam and eight of them had qualified this exam.
He said that a meeting in Royal Denmark Embassy had also been held with the Denmark Authorities regarding recruitment of doctors and Health Care Workers in Denmark from Haryana. A proposal to this effect had been forwarded to Denmark for the formal approval and on getting approval, Denmark Authorities would send standards for training to be provided to these candidates.
