Dr. Ram Singh, Professor of the Department of Entomology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCS HAU), Hisar has been selected as Fellow of the Plant Protection Association of India (PPAI).
Disclosing this today, a spokesman of the University said that recognising the contributions made by Professor Ram Singh to the field of entomology sciences, the PPAI conferred this honour on him during its Annual General Body Meeting held recently at Hyderabad.
He said that during his 27 years teachings at CCS HAU, Professor Singh authored and edited four books and published 150 research papers in national and international journals of repute.
He said that recently Professor Singh had also been selected to the Editorial Board of reputed journals, Agricultural Sciences (An American Journal), Journal of Insect Science and Annals of Biology. He had also served as fellow of Royal Entomological Society, London and had been the recipient of prestigious European Commission Fellowship, FAO Training Fellowship, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Awards and CCS HAU Gold Medal. Dr. Ram Singh is also serving on the panel of experts of International Research Journal like Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata (Netherlands), Journal of Applied Entomology (Germany) and
International Journal of Pest Management (England).
