The Indian Education Congress 2012 has honoured Dr K.K.
Khandelwal, Additional Principal Secretary to Haryana Chief Minister and
Financial Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Information, Public
Relations and Cultural Affairs, Department of Haryana, with a
certificate in category of Policymaker of the Year (State Government).
Dr
K.K. Khandelwal was honoured for his outstanding contribution in school
education and being instrumental in education reforms in Haryana.
He
has been honoured during the on-going second National Convention on
Business of Education in Faridabad.The Indian Education Congress 2012
was organised by Indian Franchise Association and Early Learning
Association of India.
Dr
Khandelwal, a senior IAS officer of Haryana cadre of 1985 batch, has
the credit of launching semester system in Haryana schools which was the
first in the country. He also contributed to promote satellite
education system EDUSAT in the state. He also introduced the system of
Teacher's Diary and the 'Siksha Lok', a monthly magazine was started by
him. He has sofar authored more than 18 books on various subjects like
law, engineering, computer sciences education, management, and culture.
