Proposal to recruit 895 assistant professors sent to HPSC

CHANDIGARH, MAY 13
Haryana Higher Education Department has sent a proposal for the recruitment of 895 Assistant Professors to the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC). The process to recruit 140 lecturers for college cadre has been started in the State.
            While stating this today, Haryana Education, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister, Mrs Geeta Bhukkal said that Haryana Government is celebrating 2012 as The Youth Year. Under this policy new private, self-financed and government colleges are being opened so as to provide quality higher education to them. She said that Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda wants to make Haryana a hub of education and many reputed education institutions are coming up in Rajiv Gandhi Education City. Teachers Training Institute is being opened at village Silani, district Jhajjar.
            She said that the numbers of students taking admissions in the schools are continuously increasing while the numbers of drop-outs are decreasing. She said that the campaign for providing the education to the girl child has also been yielding positive results. She said that the youth forms 65 per cent population of the country and for this India is being called as ‘Youngisatan’. Taking this fact into consideration, more emphasis is being laid on to improve their skills. The government is also taking steps to promote technical education amongst the youth.
            She said that those found guilty for irregularities in non-government voluntary organizations in Rohtak and Gurgaon would be severely punished. She said that the Government has constituted a committee for investigating these organizations.
