Haryana to construct 1.80 lakh houses under PM Awas Yojana

CHANDIGARH, MAY 16
The Haryana Government has decided to conduct a survey for the houses to be constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). The survey which will commence on June 1, 2017 will be completed by July 15, 2017.
          This was informed in a meeting of the State Level Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Mr D.S Dhesi here today.      About 1.80 lakh houses would be constructed in the State under this scheme.
          It was informed that the survey teams would remain in each ward for four to five days. Apart from this, the members of the team would also be available in the offices of Municipal Committees and Municipal Corporations. It was also informed that while the State Government would provide a financial assistance ranging from Rs 67,000 to Rs one lakh under various components of the scheme in three installments, the Central Government would provide financial assistance from Rs one lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh. 
          It was informed that the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) would be admissible to only those persons who are the resident of State before June 17, 2015 or employee of any industrial or commercial unit of urban area of the State registered with the Labour Welfare Board, Haryana or he is an employee of centre or state undertaking and at present is a resident of city or town. It was also informed that  the annual income of the families belonging to Economic Weaker Section should be upto Rs three lakh, that of  families of lower income group  between Rs three lakh to Rs six lakh , families of  middle income group- I between Rs six lakh to Rs 12 lakh and families of middle income group-2 between Rs 12 lakh to 18 lakh. 
          It was informed that the applicant must have an Aadhar Card and a bank account. Apart from this, the applicant or any of his family members including husband, wife and unmarried son or daughter should not have any pucca house in any part of the country. Also, he has not taken any benefit under any housing scheme of the centre or state governments. It was also informed that the applicant would have to produce voter card /telephone bill/ electricity bill/ ration card/ passport/bank passbook/pension book/ aadhar card on which the name of the applicant must be clearly imprinted. In addition, the residents of unauthorized colonies which has pucca house would also be not entitled for the benefit under this scheme. 
          Among those other present in the meeting included Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue Mrs Keshni Anand Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Forests and Wild Life Mr Sunil Kumar Gulati, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Mr P. Raghavendra Rao, Additional Chief Secretary, Environment Dr K.K Khandelwal, Principal Secretary, Industries Mr Sudhir Rajpal, Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies  Mr Anand Mohan Sharan and other senior officers of the State Government.
