Haryana State Technical Education Society (HSTES) has decided to follow the eligibility criteria as basis of admission for the session 2017-18 in the light of latest Council of Architecture (COA) clarification issued regarding eligibility for B. Arch Course.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Department of Technical Education, Haryana said that the minimum academic qualifications for B.Arch is 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized Board or University with 50 per cent marks in mathematics as subjects of examination and also obtained at least 50 per cent aggregate marks in 10+2 level examination or candidates with 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by central or state governments with mathematics as compulsory subject and obtained 50 per cent in aggregate marks or International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50 per cent marks in aggregate and with mathematics as compulsory subject of examination.
He said that merit list would be based on aggregate marks of 10+2 and valid National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) score percentage or score percentage of qualified Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Paper-2, 2017 (B.Arch./B. Planning) in the ratio 50:50. He said that the candidate must have passed NATA with valid NATA Score as per COA and obtained at least 50 per cent marks (47.5 per cent in case of candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste category) in the qualifying examination.
While referring to the basis of admission for B.Arch, he said that admission would be made on the basis of valid NATA score as declared by Council of Architecture (COA) or score of qualified JEE (Main) Paper-2, 2017(B.Arch./B.Planning) and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. He said that online payment of counseling fee of Rs 500 (non-refundable) could be made through website www.techadmissionshry.gov.in from June 19 to July 6, 2017 upto 4 pm. Last date of submission of filled application form of B.Arch is July 7, 2017 till 4 pm along with relevant documents and proof of deposited fee by hand or by post at HSTES office, Panchkula.
