Gangwar approves for setting up ESIC hospitals in Haryana

CHANDIGARH, JAN 2
The Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr. Santosh Kumar Gangwar today gave in-principle approval for the construction of two Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) hospitals including 100 bedded hospital in Bahadurgarh and 150 bedded in Bawal.
          In this regard, Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment Minister, Mr. Nayab Singh called on the Union Minister, in New Delhi today.
          He said that in the meeting, Mr. Gangwar advised to identify land of five acres each for the construction of these two hospitals. He also suggested identifying 2.5 acre land adjoining the already approved 2.5 acres. For this purpose, directions have been issued to ESI Healthcare, Haryana to issue in-principle approval letter.
          Mr. Singh said that in-principle approval had also been accorded to upgrade 80 bedded ESI hospital in Jagadhari and 75 bedded ESI hospital in Panipat to 100 bedded hospitals. During the meeting, directions were also issued for completion of all formalities regarding establishing ESI dispensary at Industrial Area, Panchkula and new building of ESI Directorate in Sector -14.
          He said that directions had been issued to Site Selection Committee, to carry out a survey to identify land for the construction of new buildings of ESI Dispensary at village Rai and Badhi in district Sonipat. Apart from this, approval had also been granted to the proposals of new dispensaries at Barsat road Panipat, Jharli and Mahendragarh, he added.
          Those present in the meeting included Director General, ESIC, Government of India, Mr. Raj Kumar, Director, ESI, Healthcare, Haryana, Dr. Anil Malik and Medical Commissioner, Mr. R.K. Kataria.
