Grant for school uniforms in government schools of Haryana has been doubled which would benefit about 14.61 lakh students.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that earlier, grant of Rs 400 was given to each student for school uniform from classes I to VIII, but now Rs 800 would be given to each student for school uniform from classes I to V and Rs 1,000 to students from each student for school uniform from classes VI to VIII. Apart from this, Conflict Management and Counselling Cell is being established by Haryana School Education Department for redressal of disputes pertaining to students, teachers and parents.
He said that the School Education Department has distributed 2,300 science kits in government secondary and senior secondary schools in last two years. Apart from this, 8,000 kits have been sent to middle schools. Similarly, mathematics kits are also being given to primary schools for promoting maths subject. Apart from this, Math-Lab, Math Corner and Math-knowledge Clubs would also be set up. He said that efforts are being made for overall development of students besides making them educated and cultured. Several activities are organised on Saturday in schools to make it joyful day, he added.
DATE FOR FLATS EXTENDED: Haryana Housing Board has extended the last date of applications for the 1,719 flats to be constructed in developed townships or colonies of Gurugram, up to October 9, 2018.
While stating this here today, Chairman of the Board, Mr Jawahar Yadav said that these three-storey flats, meant for BPL or EWS categories, would be built in licensee colonies of Gurugram are duly approved by Town and Country Planning Department and would be allocated among eligible beneficiaries on affordable estimated price of Rs 5.85 lakh per flat. The draw of lots would be held within six months of the closing date of the scheme and these flats would be allotted within two years period under self financing scheme.
Mr Yadav said that applicant must be a BPL card holder for making application under BPL category whereas annual income of EWS applicant should be upto Rs three lakh. He said that the beneficiaries could also take credit link subsidy scheme benefit @ 6.5 per cent under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Those applicant who are registered by Urban Development Department under PMAY, could also take subsidy benefit up to Rs 2.5 lakh. Apart from this, the eligible applicants could also finance their earnest money from any branch of HARCO bank or District Central Cooperative Banks in the state.
Application forms could be obtained from all Estate Offices as well as branches of Sarv Haryana Gramin Bank, IDBI Bank, Harco Bank and District Central Cooperative Banks.
