The Haryana Cabinet which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today accorded approval to provide Government job to Mrs Sujita Kumari, the daughter of Martyr Satya Narayan, serving in Army as a Sepoy, who was killed in Operation Meghdut on November 9, 1988.
She will be given job on compassionate appointment for Group-'C' post by giving relaxation in the policy as an exceptional case.
Sepoy, Satya Narayan serving in Army and resident of Village and PO-Mamaria Ahir, Tehsil and District Rewari was killed in Operation Meghdut on November 9, 1988. At that time Mrs Sujita Kumari daughter of Martyr Satya Narayan was ten months old. Now the Daughter of the Martyr is married and has made a request to give appointment on compassionate grounds. Her qualification is M.A B.Ed. As per qualification, she is eligible for Group-C post.
The ex-gratia amount given to the dependents of the martyrs was Rs 2.50 lakh on January 4,2006 which was increased to Rs 20 lakh on August 25,2014. Later on, on March 6,2017, it was again increased to Rs 50 lakh, by the present government.
The Haryana government has decided to provide government job of Group D to Mr Jaivir Singh, brother of martyr Satbir Singh on compassionate grounds by giving relaxation in the policy.
A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of State Cabinet held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.
Sepoy Satbir Singh of village Dhani Harsukh in district Bhiwani laid down his life in Operation Rakshak, Jammu and Kashmir on November 23,2002.
