On the occasion of 5th International Yoga Day in Haryana, the Union Home Minister, Mr Amit Shah will be the chief guest in the state level function to be organised in district Rohtak on June 21, 2019. Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will also be present on the occasion.
While giving this information, an official spokesman said that the State Government would celebrate International Yoga Day in all the districts and assembly constituencies. Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Speaker, Mr. Kanwar Pal would attend the district level function as chief guest in Jagadhri of district Yamunanagar and Deputy Speaker, Mrs. Santosh Yadav in Ateli of Mahendragarh district.
He said that on the occasion, the Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma would be the Chief Guest in a district level function to be held in district Mahendragarh, Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu in Narnaund of district Hisar, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O. P. Dhankar in Jhajjar City of District Jhajjar, Transport Minister, Mr. Krishan Lal Panwar in Israna of district Panipat, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs Kavita Jain in Rai of district Sonepat, Health Minister, Mr Anil Vij in Ambala Cantonment and Ambala City, Industry and Commerce Minister, Mr. Vipul Goel and Krishan Pal in district Faridabad and Public Works (Buildings and Roads) Minister, Rao Narbir Singh and MP, Rao Inderjit Singh in district Gurugram.
The Minister of State for Public Health and Engineering, Mr Banwari Lal would be the chief guest at district level function to be held in Bawal of district Rewari, Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar in Shahabad of district Kurukshtra and Minister of State for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj in Indri of district Karnal.
Similarly, MP, Ambala, Mr. Ratan Lal Kataria would be the chief guest in a function to be held in district Panchkula, MP, Kurukshetra, Mr. Nayab Singh Saini in district Kaithal, MP, Karnal, Mr. Sanjay Bhatia in district Karnal, MP, Sonipat, Mr. Ramesh Kaushik in district Sonipat, former MP, Ch. Birender Singh in Narwarna of district Jind, Member of Rajya Sabha, Gen. D.P. Vats in Tohana of district Fatehabad, , MP, Sirsa, Mrs Sunita Duggal in district Sirsa, MP, Hisar, Mr Brijender Singh in district Hisar and MP, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Mr Dharmbir Singh in district Bhiwani, he added.
YOGA DAY FUNCTIONS AT 79 PLACES: Meanwhile, the 5th International Yoga Day on June 21 functions will be organized at 79 places in Haryana. The State level function will be organized in district Rohtak. Union Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah and Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal will be the chief guests in the state level function, while Haryana Ministers, MLAs, MPs and other office bearers will be the chief guests of function to be held at the district and Vidhan Sabha constituency level.
Haryana Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi disclosed this today, while reviewing the arrangements and management of functions to be held on the occasion at state level and in assembly constituencies, on June 21, 2019, here. All arrangements related to organization of these functions have been completed, he added.
About three lakh participants will participate from the state, in which 21,000 participants will be from district Rohtak and Faridabad, besides this 5,000 participants will participate in the assembly level functions. The participants will mainly include, students, different organizations of Arya Samaj and various institutions related to Yoga campaigns.
It was informed in the meeting that Control Room has been set up at Headquarters level in the state. Apart from this, website has also been created for registration of participants. From 7 am to 8 am, Yoga would be done in these programmes to be held on June 21. According to common Yoga Protocol issued by Union Ministry of AYUSH, related yoga training has been given at district level.

Das, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Mr. Rajiv Arora, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Department, Mr. T.V.S.N. Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education, Mr. Anil Kumar, Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Mr Anand Mohan Sharan, Secretary, Health Department, Mrs. Amneet P. Kumar and other senior officers.
