CM Manohar Lal, FM Capt. Abhimanyu and HM Vij hails Union Cabinet decisions

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal, Finance Minister Captain Abhimanyu and Health Minister  Anil Vij have thanked Prime Minster, Narendra Modi, and the Union Cabinet for taking historic decisions at its first meeting in New Delhi last evening. The pro-poor decisions benefiting poor farmers and traders reflect the earnestness of the BJP-led NDA Government-2 to fulfill the promises made to the people, he said.
          In a statement issued here today, the Chief Minister said, “The extension of the PM-Kisan scheme to all farmer families, irrespective of size of land holdings, introduction of a pension scheme for our industrious farmers who toil day and night to keep our nation fed as well as small shopkeepers, retail traders and the self-employed people, and increase in the amount to be paid as part of the Prime Ministers Scholarship Scheme under the National Defence Fund, speak volumes about the earnestness of the BJP-led NDA Government-2 to fulfil the promises made to the people”.
          These decisions were taken at the very first meeting of the Union Cabinet after the Lok Sabha elections shows that the Narendra Modi Government has hit the ground running in answering the aspirations of the people, the Chief Minister added.
Haryana Finance Minister  Capt. Abhimanyu has thanked  Mr. Narendra Modi for taking decisions in the interest of millions of farmers and soldiers across the country. Capt. Abhimanyu said that by taking  decisions  for the welfare of people in the first meeting of the cabinet, the Prime Minister has proved that this government will fulfill every promise that was made to the people at the time of election.
        Capt. Abhimanyu said after assuming office, the Modi government has made a historic decision in the first cabinet meeting by making change in the PM Scholarship scheme and also giving scholarship to children of the police personnel martyrs. Apart from this, the cabinet also enhanced the amount of scholarships given to the children of martyrs.
        The Finance Minister said that the Central Government has increased the scope of farmers being covered under Kisan Samman Yojana from 12 crore to 14.5 crore farmers. Earlier, under this scheme, it was announced that Rs 6,000 per annum would be given to only those farmers who had less than five acres of land, but now the limit of land has been removed and all the farmers have been included in it. He said that with this, all farmers across the country have come under the scope of this scheme.
        The Finance Minister said that under the PM Pension Scheme, approval has been given to give pension of Rs. 3,000 to the farmers and poor. After the death of farmer, his wife will get this amount of pension.  He said that Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi deserves congratulations for taking decisions in the interest of farmers, soldiers and poor in the first cabinet meeting. He said that the way Mr. Modi had taken various decisions in the interest of the people during his first tenure, he has started the same trend again.
Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has  hailed the decisions of the Central Government  to give pension to small shopkeepers, farmers and labourers   which will  be greatly  beneficial to them in their old age. 
       Mr. Vij, in his tweet today  said that in the very  first Cabinet meeting, Modi Government has  decided to give  Rs 6000 to  all the farmers per year and pension of Rs 3000 per month to  small shopkeepers, farmers and laborers after the age of 60 years. He said that this is the first time in the history of the country when any government has made pension arrangements for the upliftment of the common man of the country. This will not only guarantee them  social security  but also improve their living standards.
       The Health Minister said that the major benefit  has also been given to  the children of the martyrs, farmers and small businessmen. The scope of the scheme of providing annual assistance  of Rs 6000 to the  farmers having less than five acres of  land have also been  extended. Now, it will cover all of the farmers of the country.  This will benefit about 15  crore farmers  of the country  and about 16 lakh farmers of Haryana. Not only this, the pension scheme has been announced for small farmers and traders.
       Mr. Vij said that while dedicating the first decision to the country’s  brave soldiers, the Government has made significant change in 'Prime Minister Scholarship Scheme'  Under this, the rates of scholarship have been increased from Rs 2,000 per month to Rs 2,500 per month for boys and from Rs 2,250 per month to Rs 3,000 per month for girls.
