The Haryana Civil Medical Services Association has not only called off its proposed strike on February 4 but also assured the Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda, that they would refrain from going on strike in future as it caused great inconvenience to the people in general, and the patients in particular.
This assurance was given by a delegation of the association which called on Mr Hooda here today. The delegation handed over a representation to the Chief Minister regarding pay anomalies. Mr Hooda assured members of the delegation that their genuine demands would be sympathetically considered.
Mr Hooda said that efforts were being made by the state government to provide best and affordable healthcare facilities to the people for which doctors have to play a key role. Hence, professional like
doctors should never think of going on strike as it caused great inconvinence to the patients as well as the public.
The members of the delegation included vice-president of the Haryana Civil Medical Services Association, Dr. Satbir Singh, General Secretary Dr. Ashishi Rana, and Joint Secretary Dr. Pradeep.
