Applications invited for allotment of Govt houses

The House Allotment Committee, Haryana has invited applications for allotment of Type-I and III Government houses in sector 39 –B, Chandigarh from the employees of the Government of Haryana  working on regular basis  in the offices located at Chandigarh and  Panchkula.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the applications in form ‘A’ alongwith form ‘D’ should reach the House Allotment Committee by September 15, 2010.  Haryana Government employees who had already been allotted government houses of appropriate category at Chandigarh by Chandigarh Administration were not eligible to the Haryana Government houses in Sector 39 B, Chandigarh.
The employees on deputation with other Government ,  Boards and Corporation were not eligible for the allotment of these houses. Similarly, the employees of Boards and Corporations and of other autonomous bodies were also not eligible.
He said that the employees eligible for Type I were those whose basic pay plus grade pay was upto Rs 12900 in new revised scale and basic pay upto Rs 4999 in old scales on January 1, 2010 and for Type III, applicants having basic pay plus grade pay of Rs 17100 to 21000 in new scales and basic pay Rs 6500 to 7999 in old scale on January 1, 2010.
He said that the allotment of Government houses on medical grounds would also be made in accordance with the policy on first come first serve subject to the availability of medical quota. The applicants were required to submit medical certificate issued from the Civil Surgeon, Panchkula, Medical Superintendent Sector 16 and Sector 32,hospitals Chandigarh and PGIMER, Chandigarh. The eligibility criteria of medical category were on the basis of basic pay drawn on the date of eligibility fixed for general category.
He said that all the eligible employees were required to submit applications for allotment of Type I and III government houses in sector 39 B, Chandigarh. They would not be allowed change of house from sector 39-B Chandigarh to Panchkula on any ground. Even the mutual exchange would not be allowed from sector 39-B Chandigarh to Panchkula being separate criteria.
He said that most of the houses of Type I and  III available  for the allotment were on the first and second floor and once allotted, houses would have to  be occupied otherwise the applicant would stand debarred for allotment of this type of house for a period of one year. The change of house would be allowed strictly on seniority basis on the availability of the house.
He said that once the allotment of accommodation would be accepted, the liability for license fee would commence from the date of occupation or from the fifteenth day from the date of issue of the allotment order whichever was earlier. Wherever Government employee, after accepting the allotment, failed to take possession of the accommodation within 14 days of issue of allotment order he or she would be charged license fee from such date for a period of one month or till the date on which new allottee takes possession of the said accommodation which ever was earlier.       
All the applicants who had applied earlier for these houses and their names were pending in the office have been consigned to record and they need not apply afresh.
