The Haryana Government has notified that December 12, 2016 shall be observed as a Public Holiday on account of Milad-Ul-Nabi or Id-E-Milad instead of December 13, 2016, as notified earlier. December 12 would be observed as a Public Holiday within the meaning of section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the decision to shift the holiday of Milad-Ul-Nabi had been taken as it was brought to the notice of the Government that Milad-Ul-Nabi would be celebrated on December 12. Therefore, now December 13 will be a working day.
FOUR CHAIRMEN OF CORPORATIONS APPOINTED: The Haryana Government has appointed Chairmen of four Corporations with immediate effect.
Mr. Jagdish Chopra has been appointed as Chairman, Haryana Tourism Corporation, Mr. Rameshwar Chauhan as Chairman, HARCOFED, Mr. Chander Prakash Kathuria as Chairman, Haryana SUGARFED and Mr. Ajay Gaur as Chairman, Haryana Land Reclamation and Development Corporation.
Mr. Deep Bhatia has been appointed as Executive Vice President of State Sports Council.
Mr. Rajesh, Project Manager, HARTRON will also act as Chief Minister’s Personal Secretary in addition to his present duties.
