CHANDIGARH, JULY 27
The Haryana Government has invited applications for filling up two posts of Presidents in the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Fora in the state latest by August 30, 2017 up to 5 p.m.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that only those candidates would be eligible, as have not been dismissed from government service.
Those eligible to apply for the posts include advocates who are not less than 35 years of age as on January 1, 2017 and have not less than 10 years’ standing at Bar. Apart from this, serving District and Additional District Judges, retired District and Additional District Judges and serving or retired District Attorney, Deputy District Attorney and Assistant District Attorney may also apply for these posts.
He said that the candidates selected for appointment as President would hold office for a term of five years or up to the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier. The candidate must be an income tax assessee for at least three assessment years preceding the date of application with professional income of not less than Rs five lakh per annum for each year. The candidate would annexe the attested and certified copies of income tax returns alongwith his or her application, failing which the application would not be considered, he added.
It is made clear that the selected candidates can be posted anywhere in the state, he added.
KAMAL GUPTA NOMINATED: Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr Kanwar Pal has nominated Dr Kamal Gupta, MLA as a Member of the Committee on Public Undertakings with effect from July 25,2017.
DEAD TREES TO BE REMOVED: The Haryana Government has decided to immediately remove dead and dry trees from roads and other places, as may cause hindrance in smooth flow of traffic or pose danger to life or property.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Forest Department said that details of such trees may be sent on WhatsApp number 8278276564. The details should include the name of the road, location, site, name of district and photographs of the site, he added.
ADMISSION IN COLLEGES: The Haryana Government has decided that fresh and leftover applicants may be allowed to be considered for admission in the colleges in the State, against the sanctioned vacant seats only. The online portal would remain open for new aspirants till July 28, 2017 (12 midnight).
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Higher Education Department said that some seats were lying vacant in colleges in the State even after the display of waiting list.
He said that all government, government-aided and self-financing colleges in the state would allow admissions to the eligible candidates on merit and such candidates would be present physically at 11a.m. on a given day in the college concerned with a copy of application form and attested copies and original documents. The late fee as per the affiliating university concerned would be applicable in all such cases, he added.
The spokesman said that the condition of ‘Gap Year’ for two years has been withdrawn with immediate effect.
