DGP advises youth to adopt sport in their lives

CHANDIGARH, OCT 29  
Haryana Director General of Police  B.S. Sandhu said that youth should adopt at least one game in their life as this will not only help in making them a healthy and disciplined citizen but also keep them away from the menace of drugs.
          The DGP was speaking after honoring the players of village Basola team with a cash reward of Rs 11,000, which emerged overall champion in the 9th Kabaddi Championship held at village Rattewali in Panchkula at Police Headquarters here today.
          It may be recalled that Mr Sandhu, announced to honour the winning and runner-up teams during the prize distribution ceremony held yesterday at village Rattewali in Panchkula.
          On the occasion, Mr Sandhu congratulated the team members for their best performance and said that playing any sport builds self-confidence and develops individual personality. He also wished them good luck for the future competitions. 

Mr B.S. Sandhu will inaugurate newly constructed building of DAV Police Public School at Fatehabad on October 30, 2018.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that the building was constructed by the Haryana Police Housing Corporation at a cost of Rs.2.70 crore. The construction work of two-storey building was completed with a period of one year. Spread over an area of four aces, the new building of DAV Police Public School has all kind of required modern infrastructure.
