CHANDIGARH, JAN 9
Qualifier Mukund Sasikumar of India was defeated by Italian Luca Nardi in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in the singles final of the € 32, 160 ATP Challenger Tennis in Italy. The match lasted 64 minutes.
The winner earned €4,400 and 50 ATP points while Sasikumar got 30 ATP points and €2,640.
In the first set, Sasikumar was broken in the third, fifth and ninth games as Nardi won the set at 6-3.
Nardi won the second set after breaking Sasikumar in the second and sixth games.
Nardi served eight aces and committed three double faults while Sasikumar served one ace and made one double fault. The Indian player converted ine of two breakpoints while Nardi converted five of 13 breakpoints.
