Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation
Limited (HAFED) has bagged the prestigious India Pride Award for the best
performing State Public Sector Undertaking in the Agriculture and Associate
Category for the year 2013-14. This is the third consecutive year when HAFED
has bagged India Pride Award under the same category.
Managing Director, HAFED Mr Ashok Kumar Yadav received
this award from Union Minister of State for Planning and Parliamentary Affairs,
Mr Rajeev Shukla at the function held late evening at New Delhi
on December 19, 2013.
HAFED is the largest apex cooperative federation of the
State with an annual turnover of Rs 7120 crore for the year 2012-13. It is the
sole Nodal Agency for arrangement and distribution of fertilizers through
Cooperative Network in Haryana and is successfully making timely arrangements
of all kinds of fertilizers.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Yadav said that HAFED is
extending full support and cooperation to the farmers of the state by providing
them all the facilities required for their upliftment. He also informed
that due to strenuous efforts of HAFED as well as cooperation of the farmers,
HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh is amongst the top three Sugar Mills in the Haryana
State with-in a short period of its installation regarding recovery of sugar
and other parameters.
