The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 32.91 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 334.53 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that these sugar mills had produced over 28.92 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 291.84 lakh quintals of sugarcane during corresponding period last year.
The Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 6.43 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 61.82 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 4.01 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 43.11 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham, which has produced over 3.43 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 36.88 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
He said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal has produced more than 3.58 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 35.60 lakh quintals of sugarcane, whereas Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced over 3.09 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 33.21 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Similarly, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Sonipat has produced more than 2.21 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 22.62 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Panipat has produced over 2.54 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 24.89 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced over 2.47 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 25.34 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
The Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal has produced over 2.92 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 27.33 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced over 2.19 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 23.73 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced over 3.44 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 33.34 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
He said that so far, average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.99 per cent.
