Kalyani, Sunil Ahuja win Chandigarh Ranking TT titles

CHANDIGARH, JULY 14

Reigning state champions Kalyani of  PAG (Audit) Haryana Sector 33 Chandigarh and Sunil Ahuja of  PAG (A& E) Punjab Sector 17 Chandigarh won the women and men singles titles by defeating Pelf of Learning Path School and Rishabh of Chandigarh respectively, both in a well contested final with set score 4-2 in the  first Chandigarh State Ranking Table Tennis Tournament at the  Government School  Table Tennis Hall in Sector 50 here today.

Earlier in the tournament, unseeded Pelf of Learning Path School created sensation by upsetting Pareen (second seeded) in the quarter finals of the women singles. In the semi finals, Pelf defeated third seeded Deevanshi to reach the finals. In the final as well, she resisted well before losing in a well fought final match. 

Deputy Accountant General Sh. Vikash Kumar (IA and AS) was the Chief Guest and Smt. Heera Negi (Area Councillor) was the Guest of Honour.
