He said that with a view to increase the interest of the people toward the films and to encourage the artists, Film Festivals had been organized in Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and Rohtak during last three years. For the development and promotion of regional films, many facilities were being provided by the State Government which included  making films tax free.
Dr. Khandelwal said that literature of Haryanvi language is rich and this language has its own essence.  He said that Member of Parliament from Rohtak Mr. Deepender Singh Hooda has also raised his voice for the promotion of Haryanvi language and also demanded the inclusion of Haryanvi language in the 8th schedule of the Constitution besides other languages. He has also presented strong logic and evidence in support of the inclusion of Haryanvi language in the schedule, he added. Apart from this, Haryanvi-Hindi glossary has also been prepared which would soon be published.
Dr. Khandelwal said that Haryanvi Cinema has regained its momentum after a long gap and undoubtedly the films would help in promotion of Haryanvi culture. Production of regional language films was a huge risk; however Bhal Singh Balhara took this challenge and produced a successful film of the liking of the viewers.
