CHANDIGARH, JUNE 13
The Haryana Government has launched National Vocational
Education Qualification Framework (NVEQF) scheme in 40 schools as a pilot
project to cover all the four revenue divisions including nine districts
namely, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Mewat, Palwal, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Fatehabad, Ambala
and Yamuna Nagar.
While stating this
here today, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal ,Education Minister said that this scheme would
benefit about 6000 students. She said that four vocational courses have been
selected under the scheme and these included Automotive, Retail, Security and Information
Technology or Information Technology Enabled Services (IT/ITES). The Central
Government has sanctioned Rs10.80 crores for implementation of the
project and out of it Rs1.10 crores have already been released.
She said
that the Department of Secondary Education has invited applications to fill up
80 posts of applied learning or vocational teachers for IT,
security, retail and automobile skills. As far as qualifications are required
for these posts, in case of IT/ITES , graduates or diploma holders in IT or its
related fields with one to two years of experience of relevant industry
could apply. Candidates with BCA or MCA or B.Tech degree would be preferred.
For Automobile course, graduates in Automobile Engineering from a reputed institute
with one to two years of experience in relevant industry could apply.
Candidates with B.Tech degree in Automobile would be preferred. Similarly, for
the post in category of security, the candidate should be a graduate or diploma
holder in security like industrial security, security management or security
operations, from a reputed institute or organization with one to two years
experience. Ex-Service men would be preferred. For the post in category
of retail, the candidate should be graduate or diploma or certificate
holder from a reputed institute or organization with one to two years of
experience. Those with MBA in sales and marketing would be preferred, she
added.
She said that the
candidates applying for these posts should be between 25 and 40 years of age
and should have fluency in English and Hindi. Also, the candidate should have
basic knowledge of computer. The last date of submission of application is June
