CHANDIGARH, JUNE 19
Haryana Secondary Education Department has issued guidelines to all District Education Officers (DEO) for verification and to counter-sign  experience certificate of the candidates for the post of Post Graduate Teachers recently advertised by Haryana School Teachers Selection Board.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of the department said that one time exemption certificate for Haryana State Teachers Eligibility Test (HTET) or State Teachers Eligibility Test (STET) and one time upper age relaxation certificate (experience certificate) from Head of the Institute is required to be verified by DEO and counter signed by Director, Secondary Education of concerned state. Such certificates issued by the Head of institutions in their respective jurisdiction like government, government aided, private schools including CBSE or ICSE affiliated schools should be verified on the basis of the record and a dispatch number should be given for authentication or verification.

While verifying these certificates, he said that a separate register should be maintained indicating there in the complete details of the candidates. A copy of these certificates should be retained and a copy of verified certificates must be immediately e-mailed to the Directorate, Secondary Education on the same day for official record and reference when the papers are placed before the Directorate for countersignature and to preclude tampering and forgery.

The spokesman said that an applicant can apply only once for a particular category of post in the first advertisement. No such exemption would be granted in the subsequent advertisement.

It may be recalled that as per new rules framed by the department, the teachers working in privately managed government aided, recognized and government schools, were exempted to acquire qualifications of passing HTET, if they have worked as a teacher for a minimum period of four years on the date of enforcement of these rules. The exemption is a onetime measure and such teachers on their appointment shall have to qualify HTET by not later than April 1, 2015, otherwise their appointment shall stand terminated automatically without giving any further notice.
