Two NCC cadets of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural
University, Hisar have bagged five awards in an adventure course
organized at Uttarkashi recently.
While stating this today, a spokesman of the university said that a two weeks adventure
course was organized by NCC Directorates of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh
and Chandigarh at Nehru Institute
of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi. The NCC cadets from Punjab, Haryana,
Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh participated in this camp.
He said that three students of Home Science College of the Chaudhary Charan
Singh Haryana Agricultural University namely Aina Garg, Rekha and Ritu had
participated in this camp. He said that NCC cadet Rekha bagged the first prize
in hurdle race and point to point march and bronze medal in sports climbing
whereas Aina was runner up in the competitions like cross country race and
tent-pitching.
He said that under the guidance of Col. K. S. Thapar, cadets had done trekking
at Tekla, Nachiketa Tal and Pog 2 and participated in competitions like river
crossing, hurdle race, point to point march, wall climbing, tent-pitching
contest and cross country race.
