Poland expresses interest to invest in India

CHANDIGARH, FEB 15
Poland has evinced keen interest in investing in Haryana in the fields of agriculture, green technology, water treatment and ‘waste to energy’.  
          This offer was made by First Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Poland, Prof. Piotr Glinski, in a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, in Mumbai. He was accompanied by political and business delegation of Poland. Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, and Ambassador of India to Republic of Poland, Mr. Ajay Bisaria were also present on this occasion.
Prof. Glinski said that Poland is keen on developing long-term business relations with Haryana and is ready to take further steps in this direction.
Mr. Manohar Lal apprised  Prof. Piotr Glinski that there is a huge scope of mutual cooperation in the field of solid waste management. Apart from urban areas in the State, special emphasis is also being laid on the treatment of solid waste in rural areas. He said that there were about 120 villages in Haryana with population of above 10,000.
The Chief Minister said that Haryana has a strong economy and has the highest per capita income among big States and 57 per cent part of the State falls in National Capital Region Delhi. He said that food processing is one of the key focus areas of the State Government. The Government would also soon unveil a new solar policy which would be very liberal. He said that the new Enterprises Promotion Policy-2015 has been implemented in the State with a focus on ‘ease of doing business’.
He also invited Prof. Piotr Glinski and his delegation to the ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit-2016’ scheduled to be held in Gurgaon on March 7 and 8, 2016. The Chief Minister also offered Poland to become partner state in the Summit.
Haryana Industries Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu, said that Haryana had a very strong automobile eco-system.
Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, Principal Secretary, Industries, Mr. Devender Singh, Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, and Principal Secretary and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department, Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, were also present on this occasion.
