Education Board to provide photocopy of answer sheets to examinees

Haryana School Education Board, Bhiwani has approved a policy to provide photocopy of answer sheets to examinees.

            While stating this today, a spokesman of the Board said that now examinee could seek photocopy of answer sheet within 60 days of announcement of result with fee of Rs.500. Thereafter, if answer sheets have not been sold out or have not been collected as stack, in that case, Secretary would have special power and he can order to supply copy of answer sheet.

            He said that copy of answer sheet would be provided to examinees within three days after getting request. If answer sheet is in the process of re-evaluation as applied by the examinee and still not satisfied with the same, in that case, he could also apply for photocopy of answer sheet within 15 days of re-evaluation with prescribed fee.

            He said that after getting the photocopy of answer sheet or the evaluated or re-evaluated answer sheets, if any discrepancy like mistake in totaling of marks or unmarked questions is pointed out by the students within 15 days of the receipt of these copies, then the Secrecy or re-evaluation branch would rectify the same without charging any further fee from applicant or examinee.

            The examinee would have to furnish an undertaking for getting copy of answer sheet saying that he, in any circumstances would neither challenge marking and nor would misuse answer sheet. Examinee would be himself custodian of answer sheet. If do so, action would be taken as per rules of Unfair Mean Cases (UMC).

            The spokesman said that the decision to provide photocopy of answer sheet to examinee had been taken on the recommendations of a committee constituted by Board as per directions of High Court.
