CHANDIGARH, MAY 7
The Haryana Government today announced to enhance the rate of Dearness Allowance (D.A.) payable to the Pensioners and Family Pensioners of the State Government from existing 90 per cent to 100 per cent with effect from January 1, 2014.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Dearness Relief to pensioners and family pensioners would be admissible on the pattern of Government of India. The grant of D.A. would put annual impact of Rs 137.52 crore on state exchequer. He said that the financial liabilities for the financial year 2014-15 for 14 months from January, 2014 to February, 2015 would be about of Rs. 160.44 crore.INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY: The Haryana Women and Child Development Department has directed all the departments to recommend the names of outstanding women achievers for the year 2013-14 latest by July 15, 2014 so as to honour them on the occasion of International Women’s Day 2015.
While stating this today, a spokesman of the Department said that the Department honour women achievers in different field every year on the occasion of International Women’s Day. All the departments in the State has been directed to recommend names of outstanding women achievers who have done exemplary work especially cases of moral courage for the cause of women and the achievement is voluntary beyond the normal duty and responsibilities. The awards would be given away in a state level function to be organized on International Women’s Day on March 8, 2015.DEPARTMENTAL ENQUIRY: Haryana Cooperation Minister Mr. Satpal Sangwan has ordered to conduct departmental enquiry to find out any irregularity in the procurement of wheat at Rania Mandi in district Sirsa.
While taking cognizance of news published in certain section of print media, Mr. Sangwan has ordered an immediate inquiry to find out the truth in the matter. In the news reports, it was alleged that with the connivance of officers and officials of HAFED, as many as 28,000 bags of wheat were taken to the godowns before procurement. He said that those found guilty would not be spared at any cost.DIPLOMA EXAMINATIONS: Haryana State Board of Technical Education has decided to conduct that Diploma Examination for all semesters (Regular and Reappear) from May 5, 2014 to June 10, 2014.
While stating this today, a spokesman of the Board said that the examinations would conclude on June 10, 2014 and all the stakeholders are requested to note the date sheet which is available on the website of the department www.hsbte.org .
UNDERGRADUATE EXAMINATIONS: Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak will conduct the undergraduate and postgraduate examination for second and fourth semester from May 10, 2014.
While stating this today, a spokesman of MDU said that all necessary arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the examinations. The examination date sheet is available on the University website www.mdurohtak.ac.in, he added.
