18,75,558 lakh mt wheat arrives in Haryana mandis

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 21
 In Haryana, the wheat arrival in mandis is picking up and so far over 18,75,558 lakh metric tonnes of wheat has arrived in mandis.
          While giving information on this, a spokesman of the Food and Supplies Department said that out of the total wheat arrival, purchase of 18,75,458 lakh metric tonnes of wheat by government procuring agencies and 100 metric tonnes of wheat was purchased by traders.
         Giving details of the wheat purchased by the Government agencies, he said that over 8.17 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had been purchased by Hafed, whereas Food and Supplies Department had purchased 5.65 lakh metric tonnes. Haryana Agro Industries Corporation over 1.74 lakh metric tonnes, Haryana Warehousing Corporation over 3.12 lakh metric tonnes and Confed 5,800 metric tonnes of wheat was purchased.
        While giving information on wheat arrival, he said that district Karnal was leading in wheat arrival where over 2.74 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the mandis, followed by district Kaithal, where over 2.53 lakh metric tonnes of wheat had arrived in the mandis. Similarly, district Jind had recorded an arrival of over 1.74 lakh metric tonnes, district Kurukshetra over 1.66 lakh metric tonnes, district Sirsa over 1.39 lakh metric tonnes, district Sonipat over 1.30 lakh metric tonnes, district Panipat over 1.12 lakh metric tonnes, district Fatehabad 95,270 metric tonnes, district Ambala 88,891 metric tonnes, district Bhiwani 88,111 metric tonnes, district Hisar 82,396 metric tonnes, district Rohtak 62,825 metric tonnes, district Yamunanagar 50,744 metric tonnes, district Jhajjar 40,776 metric tonnes, district Gurgaon 25,779 metric tonnes, district Narnaul 20,833 metric tonnes, district Faridabad 19,071 metric tonnes, district Palwal 14,236 metric tonnes, district Rewari 13,961 metric tonnes, district Panchkula 11,649 metric tonnes and district Mewat 9,566 metric tonnes.
