CHANDIGARH, APRIL 9
While giving a clarion call to completely eliminate corruption, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal today urged the people that they do not let themselves indulge in corruption and would not give anything in lieu of their routine works in government offices.
The Chief Minister, who was addressing the largely attended public meeting of Kalka assembly constituency at Kalka today, assured that neither he himself nor any of his Minister and legislator would allow themselves to become a part of corruption while discharging their duties. Similarly, senior officers of district administration would also follow the same practice to eliminate corruption. The leaders and officers on the dais raised hands to support for complete elimination of corruption.
While referring to Prime Minister Mr. Narnedra Modi mantra “Na Khaunga, Na Khaneduna (neither will I take bribe, nor will I allow anyone to take bribe), the Chief Minister said that State government is following the same principle. The good governance and administration could only be provided to people when it eliminates corruption in real terms. Initially we are trying to curb the corruption with appeal to all, in case of not having fruitful results; action would be taken as per law. If there is no corruption at the top level, there should not be any corruption at the lower level, he added.
The government is committed to breaking the politician-officer-employees nexus for graft. Those who remained in power earlier had ensured welfare of their own, relatives and their friends. They had promoted regional bias and lopsided development. His government would ensure overall development.
Referring to opposition statements about manifesto implementation, he said that people had given mandate to BJP for 1826 days (five years) and it had just completed 165 days of power. They did not have any right to speak about our functioning as firstly we will put on track the collapsed system than we will move ahead on the track made by us.
State BJP President Mr. Subhash Barala, Member of Parliament Mr. Ratan Lal Kataria, MLAs Mrs, Latika Sharma and Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, senior BJP leader Prof. Ganeshi Lal also addressed the gathering on this occasion.
