9,455 JBT teachers to be appointed after verification of finger prints

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 10
The Principal Secretary, Haryana Education Department, Mr T C Gupta said that the teachers would soon be appointed after the verification of finger prints of 9,455 JBT teachers.
            Mr Gupta said that in order to improve the quality of education, the state government is making several efforts. In order to impart good education to children, many improvements are also being made in the educational system. Every year, nine examinations would be conducted for the evaluation of students, of which seven examinations would be monthly, one half yearly and one yearly. These examinations would be conducted for the children from class I to class VIII. These examinations would review the performance of students from time to time so that necessary improvements could be made in the prescribed standards and their mental ability could be enhanced.
            He said that 8,000 PGT teachers and 2,000 TGT teachers would be recruited soon so that there would be no shortage of teachers in schools. Besides this, necessary directions have been issued for the rationalisation of teachers. Now rationalisation would be done at district level under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner and it is being initiated from Fatehabad district. He said that the posts of 1,375 teachers are lying vacant in Fatehabad. In order to rationalize, extra teachers posted in some areas  would be transferred at schools where there is shortage of teachers so as to balance the teacher and student ratio.
            He said that the work of making Aadhaar cards of all students is in progress. In district Fatehabad, there are total 1.25 lakh students, of which Aadhaar cards of 90,000 students have been made. The admission of students is being done online and also being linked with Aadhaar cards so that database of all students could be created. The district has total of 618 schools, of which online admission process has been started in 24 schools in the first phase. He said that in the coming two months, Aadhaar cards of cent per cent students would be made. This would help in timely payment of grants received from the state government for students and online database of students so created would be helpful in making new schemes for the welfare of students and their effective implementation.
            Mr Gupta today inspected the office of District Education Officer located in new Mini Secretariat, Fatehabad and also took information from officials about the department.
